This is a place to talk about our Current D&D campaign and also the upcoming D20 future campaign. Anything from news, role-playing dates or just general chats about characters and plots may be discussed here, just as long as it relates to the two campaigns.

My D20 future campaign is pretty much ready to start, I just need to write a little bit more about it for when we play, like descriptions and stuff, then I need to do character sheets with everyone again as its set in the future this time so can’t use the other ones we made really. Alternatively you can tell me what character you want and ill do the character sheet for you. So give a basic description of what you want to be. I’ll give a quick explanation of each of the starting classes and races so you can decide, I may need to go over a few things with you though, like you still get all the choices and to roll the dice for your character. There are three basic races you can play as.
Humans
Well balanced, two starting bonus feats. I’m sure you know what a Human is wink
Kuhrali
These are gene spliced humanoid creatures, they were once created in a lab but escaped and over thousands of years become a dominant force in the galaxy, controlling a huge part of it. They come in commonly six different types. Bat, bear, canine, Dolphin, Feline or Rat, there are some other rarer types but please tell me what you want for another type and ill make rules if I think its appropriate. No squirrels though Neil!!! razz Each type has different sorts of abilities, but they only gain one bonus feat at first level.
Mutrai
The Mutrai is a faction of mutants. Players can play as a variety of Mutant characters there are loads of mutations to choose from, though do note that that you have to choose appropriate drawbacks from the mutations so not to get overpowered. They gain two bonus feats at first level too.
Here are some classes, there are six in total, in later levels you can choose to take advanced classes.
Strong Hero
These characters use there strength in melee to crush there opponents, they depends on there physical power. If you want to use a sword or maybe just fists this would be a good class to choose.
Fast Hero
The fast hero used speed to there advantage. Fast heroes gain powers that improve there speed, dexterity and reflexes, they are very good at using ranged weapons. They are also the “Rouge” class of the lot, gaining skills in Sleigh of hand hide and move silently.
Tough Hero
Theses characters are very tough, they have the most hit points and also get access to damage reduction early on in the game. If you prefer endurance to strength then this is a good class to choose.
Smart Hero
This class is less focused on combat though they can still fight, instead they are able to so a large variety of tasks and they know a lot. Because of this they may be able to interact with the environment a lot more. The book gives examples saying they are scientists or researchers, they are characters that use tactics deduction and reason. This class also has a lot of craft skills and even demolitions skill. This means you could if you wanted make robots or blow up buildings with the right equipment.
Dedicated Hero
These characters are dedicated to a specific course for example healing people, or they may be devoted to a religious group or some faction. So basically it’s a character that uses common sense.
Charismatic Hero
These are basically the celebrities, leaders, politicians, negotiators, entertainers, seducers flirts, fast talkers, con artists, or even gamblers. This class is able to play musical instruments, or make pictures of art. They are good at giving bonuses to the group through leadership though are not as suited to combat as other classes, but can still fight capably.
There are the Heroes you can choose, you also choose an occupation, I will simply list them, you can make your own story and put them into whatever category you want as long as it makes sense razz
Occupations
Academic, Adventurer, Athlete, Blue Collar, Celebrity, Creative, Criminal, Dilettante, Doctor, Emergency Services, Entrepreneur, Investigative, Law Enforcement, Military, Religious, Rural, Student, Technician, White collar, Drifter, Gladiator, Heir, Outcast, Scavenger or Transporter.
Basically ignore these, come up with a back story, think what your character does then select one, each occupation offers more skills and some offer bonus feats, as well as wealth.
-----
I think that’s all you need, feel free to ask questions I hope I havn’t confused you too much, remember your character wont be ultra powerful. Just ask and I can come over one day and show you all the book and we can do character sheets if you like.
Anyway think that’s it, Cool, may add more later razz

Here is the basic plot for the D20 future role-play.
-----
B-098 – The Never-ending City
The year is 10456 AD; the Milky Way is split up into many factions, factions of mutants, kuhrali and humans. All these originated from one system, the star known as Sol. Humans began serious space exploration in 2988AD. B-098 was the first planet to be successfully colonized by the humans. In the year 3589 the Kuhrali escaped from genetic labs on B-232. They eventually became a dominate race in the galaxy, breeding faster than humans and spreading across the galaxy faster than the humans. Mutants, made by Graviton radiation have also spread across the galaxy, creating there own faction the Mutrai.
Thousands of years later, after many wars and much technological advances the galaxy has finally become stable, peace rests over the galaxy but it is far from rid of Chaos. B-098 is a small planet, over the last seven thousand years the cities on the planet have grown and grown until the planet is just now one big city. The city has started growing up, buildings getting higher and higher. Because of this mass production and rapid growth over the years old technology is not fixed it is just either abandoned or replaced with new technology. This causes many problems, a lot of old technology in the lowest parts of the city leak Graviton radiation which causes mutation; there are a lot of Mutants because of this in the lower city. There is also a small population of Kuhrali on the planet, but the majority of the population is Human.
There is a lot of tension between the Humans, mutants and Kuhrali. This is because of thousands of years of prejudice between the three. Hostility sometimes breaks out between the three factions.
The government has set up a group dedicated to stopping chaos on B-098, Known as The Agency. The Agency recruits people from all background, Mutant, Human and Kuhrali alike.

D&D post.
Ok just to stop people making stupid decisions again, i'm gonna put down the world history here.
In this universe thre are very few who know of the existence of celestial bodies as the planet is shrouded in darrkness. Threfore no name exists for this world, it is simply "the world"
The concept of extraplanar beings exist, and many societies worship seprate gods. However the true creators of the world are not gods but superpowerful beings. Very few know of thier existence (The only character in our party with any real insight into this is Jon's character)
Political.
The two strongest powers on the world are the Drow Over-empire of Nar and the Arachari supercontinent (technically a selection of city-states although they form a confederacy.) The Aracharan imperial palace was once the seat of a great empire of power but currently houses the president of the archari confederacy. The arachari confederacy hold a tenuous alliance with the over empire, and provide troops and supplies to help them in thier relentless war with the dwarf owners of the underempire.
Although there are often skirmishes between seperate species it is more usual to find conflict based on personal belief rather than race.

To answer your question first, you can only be a Kuhrali OR A mutant, not both, later in the Roleplay your character may get exposed to graviton radiation and may mutate. But to start off only a Kuhrali or a Mutant. First ill have to show you the books with for mutations, but for Bat Kuhrali there bonuses are...
Well there eyes are sensitive to light so you have to wear shade or tinted visors in day light and so on to counter it. You get bonuses to Dex and wisdom but get minus to con and inteligence, though yet to decide on this it would depend how strong your character was.
They also have blind sight over 120 feet
They are basically good at shooting from a distance, scouts and stuff.
Okay here a questions about your D&D thing,
Are there Gnomes in your world? biggrin

Molly shock herself from her taughts and drank more they called her bloody Molly found at the scene covered in the blood of the innocent taven goers...they were not innocent..none of them. Suddenly the drink was too much she needed the bath room or a bucket quick. She ran to the toliet area crying the name "Hazel" to herself. Tears coming down her face.
