++The Moon Chronicles++ An adapted role play from Ocean_Skye from the guild Endless WorldThis is the story of the Moon Rangers, the guardians of Ferin Nor. For centuries, they have been the eyes and ears of King Aerun. They are the best trackers, mappers, and soldiers of their time. Twelve are assigned to fiefs while one is not. At times the King would send them out of the country to gather information should there be unrest. That time has come. Only this time, their return is questionable.
The Guardians of Ferin Nor
The Moon Rangers, counted thirteen in all,
sworn by King Aerun to protect his people
have gone to the west to answer his call
to help those who have become too feeble.
Hark! This tale is not yet done
apprenticed to the Rangers are thirteen more
each of them bonded to an animal of the sun
remember- they are of an elite corps.
Even their skills in the sword and bow
may not be enough to bring back the missing
now the apprenticed must search high and low
to find their Rangers yet guard against the traitor hissing.
For the Rangers, gone shortly to the west
are thought to have had the worst befall them
without the guidence of the their mentors they start their quest
None have time to sucumb to blessed rem

If you're looking for a more detailed, or simplified, description of the Moon Rangers, here it is- They are the eyes and ears of Aerun, King of Ferin Nor, the only person they swear allegiance to. They are master of the sword and bow along with tracking, mapping, and the like. Each, like their apprentices, are bonded to an animal. This animal will live as long as the Ranger but the Ranger is able to live on without his or her bonded. The Rangers will enforce the King's law where those in power can not. They are even sent out of the country on missions. The King has done just that. Only this time, their return is questionable. And so he calls upon the apprentices to go after the Rangers.

Abilities- While she has the ability to manipulate four of the elements- water, fire, earth, and air- she also has the ability to manipulate glass.
Bio- She grew up in a small village near a harbor. From birth, she was given the name Luna, for she was born on the night of a full moon. She was always a happy, bright child. Her abilities with water and air surfaced shortly before her naming day, her tenth birthday. She was given the honor of the name Seven, for her powers were thought to have brought great luck to the city. That was, until a great storm arose. Tried she had, but her fourteen year old body could not control such forces beyond her control. After the storm, the bodies of twenty-seven of the village's men, along with her father, rolled in with the waves. She was given enough food for a day before being banned from the village and renamed as Six. This name not only signified great shame but also showed the bad luck that she was supposed to bring to each city. That is how Pergon found her: starved, dehydrated, dirty, and shamed beyond her wildest dreams. He said to her, "Talitha Koum" which translates to "little girl I say to you arise." She told him nothing of her past and so far she has kept it that way. A year later, a week after her fifteenth birthday, she met her Ranger, Artil. The pair is now romantically involved yet he is still unaware of her past as well. Talitha is now almost seventeen.
Appearence- Tali is of average height and slender build. Her eyes are a blue green color leaning towards gray. Her black hair is held in a single braid which ends a mere three inches above her hip. Keeping with the traditional styles of the people of her home, she wears baggy pants which rest low on her hips. She wears a breast band to cover the essentials but keeps a cloak with her for when it is cold. On her feet she wears boots. Each component of her clothing allows her to blend in easily with forest surroundings. She carries her bow and her quivers are strapped across her back. Her sword is a constant presence on her left hip. Unable to shake the shame her people charged her with, she rides a completely black horse called Nula.

Bio- The youngest Ranger to date; joined at 12 years old. Will do almost anything to protect the King. He is in the process of searching for a worthy Apprentice. So far, he has rejected over 30 potential Apprentices, but has not given up hope yet. A child prodigy, he has shown incredible potential. At six, he discovered the ability to manipulate lightning to his will, and at eight, he discovered his elements were fire and earth, two of the most common elements maipulated, but very difficult to control. Very little else is known about him, except he was exiled from his village for unknown reasons a year after joining the Rangers. Even he does not know the answer...

They sure don't look friendly..."

"Oh, hey Vron. I assume you heard these guys?"
Nope, didn't hear a thing..."
"Ha ha. Very funny. Now, should I toss Ugly there, or give him a shock?"
"Hmm...I say...toss!
"All right, then. Here goes!"
*Extends out arm, then holds out two fingers; fingers flick upward.*
"Bye now! Have a nice trip!"
*Flicks wrist, monster flies off."

"I didn't hear the thud that time. Think I went a little too far. Oh well..."
"Well, we got two others here. Want me t handle it?"
"Sure, why not?"
*Vron leaps towards nearest monster, bites it. Monster freezes, then turns to ice. Monster explodes, impaling the third with a large ice shard to the chest.*
"Well, that settles it, then."
"Cool. Very nicely done."
