This thread is for role-playing activities that happen in and around the house. Please read the description of the house below so you can use it in your role-playing. Please keep things in this thread in character. This is not a place for general chit-chat and conversation. The place for general chit-chat is under the "General Chit-Chat" thread.
HOUSE DESCRIPTION
You walk up a pathway to a large house. The front walkway is edged in lovely roses. Their fragrant smell fills the air. You see a 'welcome' mat on the front porch and knock upon the wooden door.
You step through the door into a hallway that has tile floors and walls painted a warm, welcoming colour. There is a wooden staircase that twirls its way lazily to the next floor. You can see a couple doors - one off to the right and one off left of the hallway, which continues until it opens into a much larger room. To the left of the door you walked into is a small bathroom. A woman pokes her head out of the room on the right and adjusts her emo glasses, then smiles warmly.
"Greetings, and welcome to my home. I am Karyiann. I have turned this lovely home into a home for people with the same interests, so that they can have a fine haven to come to or a place to call home. Some people have moved into the rooms and some just come in when the time suits them."
Karyiann moves over to you and holds out your hand, then takes it in hers and gives it a shake of greeting. "Come in! Don’t be shy. Let me show you around the place."
Karyiann then takes you down the hall towards the room she had just come out of. "This room here is my office and is off limits to everyone. It is where I do my daily business, you see. The room across the hall is a games room. Come inside, let me show you the room."
You're led into the room with a large TV against the one wall to which is attached the latest console games as well as a DVD player and a video player. A pool table takes up the other end of the room, which you’re told can be used for pool, air hockey or ping-pong. This is the place to sit and play board games at the tables, console games at the television or to watch movies. This room is open to all the residents.
Karyiann takes you out of that room and down the hall to the end, which opens into a large living room. In this room there are overstuff and comfortable looking couches and chairs, recliners and it seems to be a good room for sitting and chatting.
She shows you into the kitchen and then out into the backyard. A large deck over looks a large yard, which has a garden on the one side, a net for volleyball or badminton on the other and some deck chairs for sitting and soaking up the sun. Mature trees provide some shady relief for the hot summer days.
A walkway on the deck leads you to the large kidney shaped pool. There is a deck surrounding the pool and an area for snacks and drinks. At the back of the yard is a beautiful Poi Garden. Karyiann explains to you that the garden is Wanda's creation. On the other side of the house you can see a wing that juts off the house. Karyiann explains that is the weight room, made for training and working out. A door leads from the backyard into the weight room. You can see the tops of the ramps in the skate park just on the other side of the yard's fence, which Karyiann tells you is the extreme skate and bike park, as well as a regular path for biking, jogging, walking or skating.
She explains to you that the upper levels are for the resident quarters. There are 16 rooms upstairs – 8 large rooms on 2 floors. Downstairs is the cellar and there are another 4 rooms. Her room, she tells you, is on the first floor. It’s room #7, which faces the large backyard.
With all that said, she smiles and asks if you wish to move in, or if you wish to be a regular visitor to the house, she calls "Comfort Paradise"
The house is now bwing remodeled, and fixed up a bit. The garden is being replanted and the yard is being picked up. (Look for a new house thread to be open soon. ^^ )
