Which do you prefer? The Anime or the Manga? Or maybe even both. Post which one you prefer and why.

Manga- I like the Manga because Minto, Lettuce, Pudding and Zakuro were the only Mews to use the Mew Aqua Rod, but yet you don't really get much background on their family, friends, personality, etc.

Anime- Now, as for the Anime I found it was much better because you actually got more infomation on the characters rather then just Ichigo. Also the animators had decided to make the Mews look totally different to what they looked like in their Mew form(which is from what I've seen, is not common when it comes to magical girl shows). And all the animation and pretty colours looks great(I'm not saying the Mia Ikumi's work looks crap though, her work is great too). Also all the monsters in it leaded up to the plot that weren't just your everyday predictable attack then lose monsters(like Sailor Moon for example).

So overall I would say the Anime is the best to me, but yet I find the Manga good too in it's own ways :3

I would debate about this IF I had seen the Manga. Sadly enough, I can't find the manga anywhere online so i've only seen the Anime and I LOVE the anime to bits! ^-^ Ofcourse i've seen several of pages from the anime and I really love the part where Kisshu is dying and he whispers the words 'I love you', unlike in the anime, you never hear them.

But didn't Kisshu try to save those words before he died in the Anime? Though I may have gotten that wrong because I haven't seen that episode in a while.

Personally, I liked the manga a lot more than the anime.

I can't really explain why... I just do. That's the thing with me. I usually like the manga more than the anime for some reason. Maybe it was because the other mews got to use the mew aqua rod, and they were more.. involved. I guess. XD

I like them both.
I guess I prefer the manga over the anime when it comes to art.

The animation art was really bland. In the beginning there was NO shading, and then at the end they over did it (and it looked shiney and nice. =D)

Sure, I loved the RetasuxRyou kiss, but other than that, the manga was much more fulfilling to me.

Haven't read the manga... but if it just focuses on Ichigo, then I won't read it.

Ichigo... annoys me and the anime already focused WAYYYYY too much on her (seriously, she killed ALL the Chimera Animals in the series, ALL of them, except for ONE - which was killed by Zakuro).

(zOMG! Savage Garden! =D)

Both have their highs and lows, so I must simply stick to both.

I liked some of the scenes better in the manga, I also like the more delicate lineart... I think Ryou's past had a more personal touch, and I liked how all the Mews got to use the aqua rod. Ryou was also more playful and less... distant. The outfits, additionally, had a much better design. ^^;

The anime... covered more of the characters and introduced some new elements and implied love interests... which can be good or bad, depending. I also like seeing things move, in color, with sound... and you can't get that from a manga.

Well, I simply love the fact that in the series Kisshu says I love you to Ichigo many times in the manga. In the anime, Kisshu doesn't show his true feelings for Ichigo. But, in the manga it mainly focuses on Ichigo. I love learning about the other mews and their lives. They do pay a role in this you know. So, I am going to have to say I like both.

The anime doesn't air over here, so if I want to watch it, I have to use Youtube.
But, I read the manga first, and only started watching the anime once I'd finished it (I haven't read a la mode yet, though.) It's the first manga I've ever bought, mainly because the store I buy it from only just stared stocking things apart from DragonBallZ and Yu-Gi-Oh.

I love the manga much more than the anime because Mia's work isn't as corny, and in the anime, they threw in random new characters and things that weren't in the manga. So it just made it corny >.O but I still love both very much.

I like the manga mainly because it stays true to it's japanese roots. renaming it for the anime was just pointless

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you're getting mixed with Tokyo Mew Mew and Mew Mew Power. Tokyo Mew Mew was used for the manga AND the anime, where as Mew Mew Power was the title that was used by 4kids as the English version of the show. I think 4kids changed the title to avoid copyright laws or something (at least that's what I've heard).

I'm glad that I never had to watch the 4Kids version... Some of the things they did was horrendous from what I've heard... Changing the name's of characters, messing with the acual footage as well as recolouring and editing backdrops that were deemed 'unsuitable' for the audience that 4Kids were aiming for? I don't like anything I hear about when 4Kids takes an anime for America...

But as for the differences between anime and manga, and which I prefer... I would say Manga. Mainly because I'm a lover of Manga in general and in preference to Anime, mostly because the Manga is the original script (as it were) and as such, it's the most pure version. The same applies to Tokyo Mew Mew. The anime changed a few too many things for my liking, much like most anime... Besides, Zakuro is hot in the Manga! xd
