What is your favorite thing about Jarlaxle?
For me I would say I like his personality and his ability to pull out a magic item from anywhere.

I've just always been fond of anti-hero types (like Artemis as well)
plus, his aloofness is a refreshing change from how angishy most anti-heros get

Jarlaxle is my favorite character in the whole of the book series!! I love him... He's such a completely unique character, and there's nothing archetypal about him at all. Hooray for uniqueness! Plus, his hat is awesome. Fan art. eek  This is my art, don't steal it. stare

I like Jarlaxle because he is one of the smartest Drow in all of Menzoberenzan (can't exactly remember how to spell it) and he is quick witted and capable of turning any situation to his profit.

I don't understand how Drizzt seems to blindly trust him, even after he stole the Crystal Shard from him!
not only is he drow, but one of the most powerful drow in Menzzoberanzan! You don't get that far by being honorable and trustworthy...
it disturbs me that the first thought that came to Drizzt's head when he was wondering if he could trust Jarlaxle was "He didn't rape Catti-bre when he had the chance" >_O

I think Jarlaxle's the funniest guy alive. I think it's funny how he pisses off all the Matron Mothers. I also like his attire, the wide brimmed hat with the feather, the eye patch, and the fact that, despite being able to walk as quietly as he wants, he chooses to be loud most of the time.
