Welcome to Echoes of Vairë! We are an all-around Tolkien fan forum with a focus on role-playing. If you are new here, why don't you post in this thread to get started?
Or, you can read the Rules & FAQ, below.

3. Do not flame.
4. DO notify King. Of. Bling. or a crew member if you have a problem that needs fixing. I do not do plumbing.
FAQ
On joining
Only an appreciation of Tolkien's works is required. =) Once accepted, it is a good idea to post here to be welcomed, or head over to the general chat thread to say hello. You may begin role-playing and creating your own topics as soon as you like.
On thread placement
You must place threads in the correct forum. In general, OOC threads (including mule RP) go in the main forum. IC threads (including stories/RP addons) go in the role-play forum. You can create as many threads as you want, as long as they aren't redundant. Give your threads a title that describes the contents of the thread.
On roleplaying
You may create any sort of roleplay you like, as long as it has to do with LotR and does not violate the Gaia TOS. Your RP threads should state the setting of the RP in the first post-- or even better, in the title.
On mules
Mules are extra accounts that take on the persona of a character. Mule roleplaying is the interaction of these characters. It is far from novel-style: this type of RP is generally very lax and and only occasionally follows canon timeline, being half OOC anyway. These threads go in the main OOC forum, although you may still use a mule account to post normally in other forums.
If you still have a question, feel free to PM King. Of. Bling. or one of the crew members.

Feast on his flesh. *ahem* Sorry. Hello all. Glad to be here. I first experienced LOTR through the movies. I then got the thre books, along with The Hobbit on DVD, an animted movie though. I then got the book The Hobbit. I have read them all so many times I forget how many. I am not a die-hard fan though. My favorite character is Gollum. On a side note, Arwen is a home wrecker! Aragorn and Eowyn should have ended up together! I look forward to meeting you all.

Hi all! I first say the fellowship in theaters and started to read the books as soon as I got home. I haven't read them for while, so I don't remember much of what actually happened sadly, but I am by no means an ignotant fan. I'm pre-apologizing for anything I might confuse with the movie. I am also new to rpg so please be patient while I learn.
