so what are the name of your ACs? do you have the same name all the time, or do you make new ones a lot. mine haven't changed much over the years. my ACs are usually Red staR, Orion or Ness.

I have repeating designs that usually carry the same name :
Variant : Middleweight Biped w/ Machine Gun/Missle/Gernade *Old Staple Tempest : Max Defense Tank w/ Gernades Hunter : Lightweight Biped w/ Shotgun & Orbits Mirakku : Lightweight Biped w/ Machine Guns *Old Staple Mirakku Jikogu (Hell) : Lightweight Biped w/ Blades Only Mirakku Sora (Sky) : Lightweight Biped w/ Energy Weapons Only Mirakku Varia : Lightweight Biped w/ MachineGun/Missle/Gernade Mirakku Kai : Lightweight Biped w/ Machine Guns & Back Booster *Current Staple Battle Pod : Joke AC built to look like a Battle Pod/Regult from Robotech/Macross, actually used to be quite formidable xd
But then I also make a lot of ACs that don't carry over to other games well, but have pretty good/cool names too. A few I can remember :
Blood Seal (ACLR) : Lightweight Biped w/ Dual Linear Rifles Dust (ACSL) : Lightweight Biped w/ Dual Handguns for Weapon Breaking Reaper 302 (ACN) : Heavyweight Biped w/ Nukes Blast Beetle (AC2:AA) Hovertype w/ Energy Cannon Arms & Orbits
I like seeing an AC's name as much as I do the design and it's paint job xd

I ussually have a main part of the name and it goes in cycles depending on how finished I feel it is...
examples: 1st: AoiKage 2nd:AoiKage Kami 3rd:AoiKage Sho final :AoiKage Gen
I may also have an alternate schematic just in case my build needs major tweaking for certain situations
examples: Boss destroyer: Gen David speed: AoiKage Rush defense: Boreas multi target: Rain

I have three I use predominantly, and modify as needed. This is all AC4, btw.
Main - Type-Hogire
So named because I didn't rename it. Varies the most, but standard armaments are a Moonlight blade on one arm, a plasma weapon on the other, and usually a pair of Yamaga lauchers or a pair of Sirius cannons on the back. Beat normal campaign with this one.
Heavy weapons platform - Demolisher
It's the Sus design with lots of explosive weapons and a pair of Iblis shotguns in the hangars. For when I feel like coating the entire arena with craters.
High-speed - Spec Ops
Quick, almost completely black, built from the Judith design. Armed only with speed and a pair of Moonlight blades. I love this thing. heart

Most ACs I made custom for Missions so I'll post a few that stand out.
TORRENT - Its a HOGIRE model with a high output generator and low drain boosters that still have so speed to them. Equiped with 2 AZAN rifles and a SIRIUS Hi Laser Cannon. INBLUE FCS. Tuned for EN output, turning foward and side boosting, aim precision, arm mobility. Almost perma flight. Rips lightweights apart well. Not so great against high defences ACs.
MISSLE STORM - I was bored so I made a heavy body and loaded as many normal missles as possible on it. Works well against ACs with slow firing weapons. Gets eaten by MGs though.
WINGED GLORY - Made for the mission where you have to destroy the supports on the clam shell base on hard. Equiped with AZANs and wing lasers. Worked well although I'll probably make a version with Sirius cannons instead. Not enough ammo for the wings.

My AC is named Polarbear, after the great behemoth of the northern lands. It prowls the ice in search of food and will let nothing stand in its way.

Most of my creations are named after how they look or are created because a name inspired me to design them in a certain way. But as for staple names my Tank is almost always named Genois. And my absolute best Bi-Ped that I can design is a variation of the name Grand-X (such as Grandier-X, Grandius-X, or Grandiron-X).

umm most of the time my ACs have a time of day or "moon" in it like my fav ACs from all the armored cores Twilight mist (biped dual rifles and triple shot missles) or the other veryations of that AC like Cresent moon (heat dual rifles) and HiddenMoon (dual shotguns and missles) *kinda like Shade from ACSL way back when*

In all the Armored Core games, I go with the names of gods like Ares for a super-heavyweight suit; or Helios for a lightning fast suit.
