First of all I know this is going to sound extremely bizarre and off the wall, but something happened last night. I was in bed trying to go to sleep, so I shut my eyes and suddenly I get this image of a figure with the head of a goat, and body of a man. (think Baphomet but not with the boobage.) So anyways I'm a little weirded out.
Then this figures tells me that it's the Holy Spirit of God.
Needless to say I get really weirded out. After all according to the common mainstream laws of Christianity, goats are supposed to be evil, and do evil things and not be trusted. So I'm laying there, wondering what's going on. I'm not terrified of this vision, actually comforted by it. Of course in the back of my mind I'm doubting the validity of this "spirit"
Then I decide to test it, and ask "Who's the true God?"
The reply, "You know that as well I do, child."
So I'm thinking 'Great...a smartaleck."
So I try again, "Who is God?"
Then I heard, "Jesus Christ is God."
So I felt relieved, but still a little weirded out. I mean isn't the Holy Spirit supposed to typically look like a dove or a flame? Can anyone give some insight as to what's going on, or am I just insane?

to me the spirit is an impersonal force, less a distinct "person" than the rest of the trinity.
the ruach in the OT is female, and pneuma in the NT is neuter so it doesn tseem masculine to me.
if i had to put a face on the spirit it would be whatever the face of Jesus is, since all things were made by him, and he bears the unsullied divine image

Except the Holy Spirit is a person of the Trinity. I mean last I checked a force couldn't feel emotions. Of course it's ironic that you said that the spirit in the OT is female, and in the NT is neuter. The gnostics believed that the Holy Spirit was female, but that it also had something to do with "Sophia" which can translate into Baphomet. anyways this is a representation of what I saw.

Also, why didn't you post this in Be Thou In My Visions? *pouts.

Not sure I'd call him "Pan" though, because I didn't get that vibe.
Basically my instincts are telling me that "he's" harmless and not some evil entity.
Okies, I'll post this in "Be Thou in My Visions"
*I forgot about that guild ;_;
