Quest Limitations:

It's been brought to our attention that there are a few quests that go against the rules or are bordering on God-Moding. There are a few limits that are addressed in the rules but we've decided that we'll need to define a few more rules. It's nothing against anyone, it's not meant to make anyone's quest void in any way- we want to avoid trouble in the future.

Colorations, Markings, and lineart edits:

Cosplays:
Cosplays will be approved on a case-by-case basis. Animal character cosplays or naturals are easy enough to address. So long as they don't have extra limbs or appendages like wings if they're an eagle cosplay or like fins is it's a shark cosplay.

Humans are a bit difficult. Obviously they won't be clothed. We also will have some limits on clothing patterns on the fur. For instance, if someone's wanting a Sora cosplay from Kingdom hearts it would look a bit silly for a deer to have a bright yellow bum and giant chains hanging from his neck. With something like that the hairdo, expression, and edited antlers to look like a keyblade might be allowed with some patterns on their fur that relate to the character.

If you have any cosplay questions post them here in the thread and a staff member will address them.

Lineart Edits:
Antlers: We're still limiting the amount of tines on stags so we don't have like fifty tines on a stag. We will edit antlers completely over if you'd like them to resembles something to a point. Again, there's limitations on this - for instance we won't edit antlers into ram horns, unicorn horns, or something that looks like a pair of swords. Again, we're taking these on a case-by-case basis. Post questions here.

Hairstyles: These are fine as well, sometimes it helps make the deer/wolf/lera more personable to what you had in mind. We don't want long flowing locks down to their bum, we'll allow long hair to a point. Again, case-by-case. We'll be more lenient with this one though.

Scars and wounds: These are allowed. Cut ears, bitten ears, missing eyes, missing tails, and body scars are allowed. Missing or malformed limbs require minor plot explanation.

Etc: Post in the thread for any questions you have on any other lineart edits.

Markings:
We're pretty easy when it comes to markings. Pretty much anything you want we'll do for you. If it's something overly complex please give us decent references so we get it right for you.

Histories:

We're very happy to see someone making up a history for their quest character, it helps show that you're really putting a lot of thought into the quest and you're wanting to contribute to the rp. However, there are some big no-no's to consider when you're writing up a quest history.

    - Relations to characters out of the books:
This is absolutely not allowed. It's in the rules that no one can be related to Rannoch, it creates tension among everyone else that hoped for relations to him and it's impossible to say just what became of Rannoch's descendants. The only way to be fair to everyone that wants a relation to Rannoch is to say no one can be. There can be -rumors- but there can't be any actual ties to Rannoch.

    - Raised by humans:
Deer are only owned by nobles. They are owned for sport - royal hunts pretty much. Otherwise they are owned for bragging rites, again, by nobles. Nobles in the day would keep large plots of land with a herd or two of deer. These deer were protected by law though often hunted for their sport. White deer were owned by nobles as status symbols or because they were seen as creatures of good fortune.

Wolves were not owned by humans. Wolves were dangerous predators that killed travelers, livestock, and children that decided to play a little far from the towns. They were trapped, yes, but not kept unless they intended to kill it shortly after trapping it. Humans keep wolfhounds which are fully capable of taking down a wolf. Even if a human decided to keep a wolf pup out of good will, it's likely the villagers would have quite a fit over it. NPC human owners are not allowed, if you want a wolf to be owned arrange it with someone that plays a human, it must be reasonable. Abusing animals in captivity wasn't often done either, it was an all-too-well known fact that abused animals became dangerous.

Rabbits and foxes were also not owned other than to kill later for meat and furs.

In short- human ownership needs staff approval. Again, post any questions in here.

    - Overly Abusive, overly aggressive backgrounds - NPC:
Abusive backgrounds happen, but we don't want everyone assuming that their deer/wolf was cast away from every herd/pack because of how they look. It's assuming a lot about a lot of deer/wolves. Also, saying your deer/wolf is a great warrior or murderer that felled whole herds/packs by themselves is godmoding. If you want a past like that, play it out with willing players who are willing to have their character abuse yours or characters to die at the fangs/antlers of yours. Again, we're not trying to harness your creativity, we're avoiding problems in the future and keeping it fun for everyone.

    - Assumed Speaker Abilities:
Again, speakers cannot be quested for! They are rolled randomly, if you make the roll, you get a speaker. There is no ammount of bribing that can gain you an instant speaker, it wouldn't be fair to everyone else. If we allowed this there'd be speakers everywhere and it wouldn't be as rare and special as it's supposed to be. Everyone wants a speaker, not everyone can have one unfortunately. To set up a quest assuming you'll get a speaker is a bit much. Sorry.

    - Supernatural abilities:
Such as reading minds, healing, speaking with humans, the ability to read, speaking with spirits, speaking over long distances, etc. These are things that we're putting our feet down as definite 'NO's".

    - Connections to herne:
While we will consider all plots concerning herne or any special events occurring as a result of an encounter with Herne, we'll be very strict with these and we will require staff approval.
