Who else liked the Leroux book? Am I the only one?

I liked it. 3nodding Erik is a lot more monstrous in the book than the romanticized ALW version, yet you still can't help but feel sorry for the poor guy... I actually cried. Yup.
I haven't read the book, but my friend did, and she said she was absolutely terrified. She said she saw the Phantom's eyes in the dark and stuff... But she read it when she was like twelve, so... yeah...
I saw the film, and I've gotta say, I thought it was really good, and the music was fantastic! I'm probably not going to reaf the book, though, because I get spooked really easily...

Scary? neutral I didn't find it scary at all... though, this is coming from smeone who laughs during gory horror movies. Still, l rather doubt you would find it too scary. It's a really good book, I think you'd enjoy it.
If you don't want to spend money, and aren't picky about the translation, you can read it here.
I didnt know this was a book, I only thought it was a play but then again thats almost the same thing. The play was great! The newer movie I dare to say is better than the first. The voices are better also I mean the girl (I wont attemt to spell her name) her voice was annoying. I have the CD from the first movie and OwO I want to gag that girl at some point or another but she dose have a pretty voice. The new movie has and awsome leading voice and same with the Phantom.
