"I'm getting old, I guess," the rogue panted as he watched the hind of the zebra get farther and farther into the distance.

Banji had never been all that talented of a hunter. Enough to get by, obviously. If he wasn't he wouldn't have lasted alone so long. Recently it seemed his already poor skill was declining. The male mused over it as he trotted toward the welcomed shade of a large rock, plopping down. Starving would be a horrid fate. Perhaps he should follow the way of the vulture? Eat things that were already dead? It couldn't be healthy, but...

He was one of the mild-tempered sorts. Mild to the point he could think over the possibility of him starving, and the voice in his head didn't sound frantic in the slightest. Death wasn't something he would accept, no matter what other eating habbits he had to mimic. He still had things to do. Find his sister, for one. Was she constantly moving or was his luck just bad?

"My luck must be bad," he voiced. "I can't seem to find anyone."

Kimia yawned as she moved over the grass, the heat wasn't bothering her so much. The constant rumbling in her stomach, however, was a different story. She wore a sad look on her face, every now and then it twisted into annoyance. Couldn't food just appear? She didn't have any idea about hunting, she was still too little and her mom wasn't around to help her.

She mewed softly and her pink gaze moved toward the sky. She shook her head slightly and looked back to where she was going, eyes widening. "A zebra!" She breathed, obviously not knowing too much about zebras. Or adult male lions. She'd spotted Banji and was now headed toward him.

Maybe if she just asked it if she could eat it? That might work! Feeling quite happy she'd found food, her steps picked up. "Mr. Zebra!" She called out.

This barely ever happened to Banji, simply because he was so rarely in contact with other lions (or anything, really, save for that crazy wild dog who thought she was a lion). His twin sister had been confused with a food source many more times. She'd met her best friend that way.

Maybe she was with him traveling around. It would explain why he was having such a hard time locating either of them.

The male laughed deeply, turning toward the youth and shaking his fluffy mane. "Very sorry, but I'm not quite what you're looking for. However, if you practice cannibalism, perhaps I can help you out."

Her eyes widened. He could understand her! Neat, she could speak ze... oh wait, he wasn't a zebra? "Canna...whatism..?" She said slowly, coming much closer to where he was. She still kept her distance though, eyes narrowing as she squinted at him. Oh... well he did have a big poofy mane... did zebras? Honestly she'd never seen an adult male before. "What are you then, if not a zebra?" She pouted and then sat down, obviously feeling no threat from the stranger.

Banji chuckled again. She certainly was amusing. "I'm a lion, same as yourself," he answered, then paused thoughtfully. "Well, not quite the same. I'm a male and probably much older than you are." Still, they were the same species. "I just have the pattern of a zebra is all. My twin sister does as well. I don't suppose you've seen her?"

Before she could answer, another thought crossed his mind. "You shouldn't wander this far out alone, little one." This was basically in the middle of nowhere.
