Should we keep sending troops back after their tour is over?
No they have done their duty
Think of the strain on their loved ones
Yes it is necessary for victory

We don't have enough available troops, so when they come home after their tour of active duty they get sent back into harm's way again.

THis just happened to a local unit, we had an amazing number of local people who were all in the same unit, but thank God they all got home safely from Iraq except for cuts and burns and a broken foot but nothing serious.

We had a big party for them and an article in the paper, and decorations ll over.

Then we found out they were all being shipped back over there again!

Isn't enough enough? They already sserved their time!

When people join up it's for two or more years so I'm guessing they haven't served their time, not all of it anyway. They signed up to fight, so they make them fight. confused

One of my families friends unit is on a fourth tour in Afganistan... but they signed up for that. It's sad but it shouldn't be too surprising.

A woman was crying and pleading in the US Senate last week; her son had just received notice that his tour had been extended for a third trip to Iraq.

This is beyond the two years. You think you are signing up for two, but the government can stretch it out without your consent.

All they have to justify this is an abscurely numbered paragraph not even included in the enlistment papers but in a footnote there, just numbers, no words or explanation to tell the recruit what he or she is actually signing for.
