Beginnings
The Monarchy of Sanderfall was formed on I.Y. 200 by the ambitious Duke Zenmaru. This eight foot tall man swung up his sword and called together his neighbours to form a solid nation before any other group attempted to gain control of the scattered lands previously owned by the King. By doing so he united several small towns, a large section of the previous kingdom's troops, and four abandoned castles. Within days of the creation of the monarchy Zenmaru had fully outfitted the abandoned fortresses of Halafort, Hasinfort, Yominfort, and Lowenfort.

He quickly established a new capital called Occarista on an island far away from any opposing forces. Here Zenmaru began creating a small fleet of ships, and began to establish his complete control over his previous allies. Within a month he had taken full control over this land and its many towns and cities.

The Appearance Of Angstrom

'It was raining that morning
when the lightning struck the bell of Gwa;
It was raining that morning
when the thunder ripped apart Slar's highest tower;
It was raining that morning
when the floods washed into Terr's valley;
It was raining when Angstrom, lord of all,
yelled to his people.
'

On IY 200 the gods made their voices heard as they preformed miracles across the land. Angstrom was heard, since his miracle was the loudest to all peoples. From Occarista to the other side of the continent his resounding order was spoken to the world.

A day before these effects happened Angstrom appeared before Zenmaru, the first king of Sanderfall. They spoke. No text records what they spoke of, nor any being remembers, except for the godking and the manking.

King's Profile
Lord Phyramere Zenmaru

He was born to Duke Orneil in the south western territories of the old empire. The child was apprenticed to a swordmaster by the name of Ikukku Razorblade before he had his third birthday. So almost from birth the man was trained with the sword. Along with that apprenticeship, Zenmaru was being taught about language and history by the chosen archivists in his father's small realm. With the highest amount of education, both physical and mental, he was destined to become a leader renowned amongst the current kingdom.

When Duke Orneil died Zenmaru was quick to claim his father's place. When the King died, Zenmaru was even quicker in setting up a separate state apart from the old dynasty. He was putting in place his plan to become renowned through-out history. Zenmaru quickly built a capital city and named it Occarista, while renovating four castles in his newly claimed territory. After a month the eight foot tall giant held a strong kingdom with loyal subjects. These actions were quite a feat for a normal mortal. However, Zenmaru was no-one close to 'normal', albeit he is mortal.

Pilgrimage Of Saint Gwasera

Gwasera was an ancient knight from more than 3,000 years ago. She wore crimson and gold coloured plate, and began a trek to rid the southern lands of monsters. The woman-knight started her pilgrimage at the temple of Gwa, which was a small fishing village when she started her quest. At Gwa she bathed herself and purified her soul for the quest she had undertaken.

In the name of justice, and strength, she went out on foot toward Slarr. The woman swam up the ten foot deep stream with her full armour on. Eventually she reached Slarr temple and began to walk, still on foot, toward Terr temple.

At the river separating the two temples, though, she was forced to cross a bridge. On this bridge there was a thirty-foot tall giant blocking her way. On that bridge she did battle against the monster, and eventually was able to defeat him. After the battle she, though, she was half dead. It was only because of the kindness of a passing bull that saved her.

The bull dragged her off the bridge to a small cave that he lived in. Both the bull and the woman conversed for hours on end about their races and how each of them could protect and serve them. Eventually, after a week of resting, the woman left the cave with a small calf. The bull told that the calf was from a herd south of the temple of Terr, and he would be repaid for his kindness if she took the calf to the farmer there.

As she carried to calf to Terr, though, the animal grew. It grew so much that she could barely move. Two hours from the cave, the small bull continued to grow till it was the size of a barn. The woman continued with her promise to the bull, though, and continued to move toward her promised destination.

After four days of carrying the bull she made it to the small farm south of Terr. She dropped the large cow there and it became Mt. Lowen. She went northward to the temple of Terr, and told the priests of what she did. They wrote her accounts of the events down, and immortalized her quest.

She wasn't done, though, and entered the cave behind the temple. After entering the cave she slew a massive ten hundred foot tall dragon, and brought a large chalice of pure silver to the priesthood at Terr. This chalice was called the 'Cup of Lowen', and was named after the bull mountain south of Terr.

To this day many heroes, priests, monks, and other people make the pilgrimage that St. Gwasera did so many millennia ago.

Quest Steps
1). Go to Gwa Temple and jump into the river north of it.
2). Swim up the river leading to Slarr Temple.
3). Go to the bridge between Slarr and Terr and pick up a 250 lb sack of rocks.
4). Carry rocks to Fort Lowen and dump the rocks at the door of the fortress.
5). Go to Terr Temple and go into the ceremonial chamber behind the main temple. Enter the maze beneath the chamber, and find the silver chalice hidden in the maze. Touch the said 'Chalice of Lowen'.
6). After exiting the maze, have the priests there write down your name on wall behind the chalice.
