I was just curious about what field of psychology that people are most interested in. I don't think my poll is comprehensive of all the different avenues in the psych field, but i tried to think of as many as I can.
I'm very interested in developmental and health psychology, and someday I'd like to help individuals battling eating disorders or add to mental health practicioners uderstanding of eating disorders.

My main interest is in the counseling field, especially with teens. However, I also am interested in the abnormal part of psychology. ^.- Now that I think about it...I like a little bit of all the parts of human psychology.

I prefer behavioral medicine/health psychology, but I like them all. I think that the thing that makes psyche so interesting, is that it encompasses so many different fields of study. heart

My interests rest in Cognitive Psychology, though I find that I have some interest in more or less each of the fields. As pikkonoloidlee said, it is interesting that so many fields of study are a part of it.

My area wasn't quite listed, but the closest thing was "social." I like social and personality psychology, but am especially intrigued by a relatively new discipline known as ecopsychology (sometimes known as environmental psychology).

developmental is awesome. It helps you understand WHY someone is a mental wreck, not just how to fix it razz

I'm interested in developmental psychology but, as I haven't yet started official study of it, I'm not sure where I want to go with it.

This poll needs an "I don't know" or an "All of them!" option smile I for one could not decide. Developmental is really interesting, but so is cognitive, psy/bio, forensics, medicinal... Yeah, basically all of them.

She lay down on the grass, Looking up at the sky, thinking, it’s all she can do. If she disappeared she would not be missed. She will be gone just like everyone else.
Getting up from the grass, she walks on the sand, looking outward towards the sea. She walks into the water high up above her knees.

I'm fairly eclectic. I am mainly into Cognitive, Social, Biological and Psychodynamic [mainly neo-freudian] fields. I'm also very intrigued by abnormal psychology. I'm a science person, so I definitely like everything about the brain, but I also like the mind... But I don't really hate anything about psychology. I don't think I can even name what I don't like. Maybe after a few years of majoring in the subject, I'll know more about what I'm interested in.
I hope to one day become a clinical psychologist, maybe even with a Ph.D
~~~♥~~~♥ Narc Lit ♥~~~♥~~~ The waves softly hit her legs. She looks at the sunset and its yellow-red hues she walks into the sea, farther and farther, opening her arms towards the wave. The water is high up to her hips. The wave comes towards her. She looks at the wave with her arms stretched out; the water starts to rage, the wave hits her body hard. Then the water calms down. The water recedes, then darkness falls, and all goes dark. The sun goes down and the day is done.
I'm especially interested in motivations and developmental psychology, along with nature vs nurture. I'm also drawn to cognitive studies, and love to research abnormal psychology, especially schizophrenia, which fascinates me for a number of more personal reasons, and dissociative identity disorder, which I believe to be more of a display of the human minds ability than a disability.
