I don't think the colors are too harsh at all for the new layout, in fact I adore them already.
As for the 'bests' in my opinion... "Pink" wins it for profile and story format; the latter because I like how it carries over the summary but in a somehow unobtrusive sort of way. As for listing format, I think Shinigami_HPB is the best here. It's not as abstract and seems cleaner than in Pink or Shuriken.

I don't like that big slab of white where it talks about Lunaescence, it just ruins it all.

I agree with Kit-san. =3 It looks lovely! Normally I don't like reds, but that layout uses it quite well.
