This is my verson of Jack's past. mrgreen Update whenever I feel like it.
Long ago, there was small remote village next to a forest that was said to be haunted. The village was untouched by technology or the rest of the world. For the last few years a huge plague was spreading through the village, mostly affecting the children. So when the only son of two poor farmers got sick, they where epically sad and afraid. Then their fears where realized when they went to wake their son, and he was dead.
Since the cemetery was overfilled the village had to throw the corpses into the forest. On the day they had to say good-bye to their son, they waited for the men to come.
"I can't believe this." Said the mother, pushing her long black hair out of her eyes.
"It all happened to soon." Said the father, patting his son's pale hand.
"Good-bye our son." They said together as the men came in. They gently lifted the body, nodded to his parents, and left. Right after they closed the door, the mother stared crying on her husbands shoulder.
A half an hour later they men and the boy's body where close to the middle of the forest.
"Why do we have to go to the middle of the forest?" Grunted one of the men.
"Because we don't want canalizes near the village." Answered the second man.
"This place creeps me out." Complained the first man.
"Then toss the body and let’s go!" Said the second man. The first man suggested and did throw the body, and they left. The boy's body hit a tall tree with a door on it, his hand hit the door nod and the pumpkin shaped door opened. For a moment nothing happened. Then a small wind blew; blowing through the boy’s messy black hair, and pulling at his lose clothes. Then a stronger wind blow with a few stray dead leaves riding it. Finally it blew strong enough to pull him in the door, it closing afterwards. The boy was falling, and hit the ground in an eerie dark place. Then, like he was just asleep the whole time, he opened his eyes.

You know if you want to comment you can.
The boy sat up and slowly looked around.
"Huh? Where am I?" He asked, scanning his new surrounding with his deep green eyes. He was at the edge of a cemetery, on a hill with a swirl. He stood up and still looked around. He was so interested in his surroundings he didn't notice that he wasn't breathing and that his heart had stopped.
Then something, or someone, caught his eye. He turned and saw a small girl with her red hair up in two pigtails.
"Hey!" He said waving at her, but instead of saying anything back she turned red and started running away.
"Huh, what a minute!" He called after her, and then ran after her. When he got to the tombstone she was hiding behind he noticed an old man in a wheelchair going by. He was scolding someone but he couldn't see whom.
The boy looked around and something caught his eye. It was a black piece of cloth; he picked it up and looked at it.
"That girl must have left it here." He said, and then smiled. "At least I'll be able to remember her then." He said quietly, it was getting dark and he leaned against the tombstone, a slowly drifted off to sleep.
The next morning a bright red light woke the boy up.
"What the?" He asked, as he opened he's eyes, and was face-to-face it a small ghost puppy with a bright red nose. The puppy barked at him and licked his face.
"Hey! Stop that!" He said, laughing. He patted the dog’s head.
"Is this your gravestone?" He asked pointing to the gravestone he was leaning against. The dog barked, and the boy took a closer look at it.
"So your name is Zero?" He asked, and the dog barked.

"Hey, Zero, is there other people here?" He asked his new ghost friend, he imminently remembered the girl, and looked at the cloth he was holding all night. Zero barked and headed off, the boy got to his feet and followed. They walked through a tall iron gate and he looked around. There was no one around.
"Are you sure there's people here Zero?" The boy asked, looking around.
"There are." Said voices from behind him, making the boy jump and fall over.
Standing there was a bunch of monsters and creatures.
"What's going on here?" Said a mysterious voice from inside the crowd. Everyone moved out of the way for a tall white haired man with dark eyes, with a shorter man with a pin that said 'mayor' following him. The taller man kneeled next to the boy.
"Who are you son?" He asked.
"I-I'm Jack." Jack said, still a bit scared. He finally noticed he's heart wasn't beating, but decided to think about it later.
"What are you doing here, Jack?" The man asked.
"I don't know, last thing I remembered I was at home. Then I opened my eyes and I was here." Jack said.
"Well, you're in Halloween town. I'm Howl, the Pumpkin King of Halloween town." Howl said.
"Hall-o-ween?" Jack asked, having to sound it out.
"That's right!" Howl said, with a smile.
"Halloween." Jack repeated like it was a new favor that he was trying to fully understand.
"Its a holiday. Ever year we put together a great and scary Halloween. Didn't your parents tell you about Halloween?" Howl asked Jack shook his head, slowly.
"Ah! That explains a lot!" The shorter man, who Jack guessed was the mayor.
"Where are your parents anyway? Don't they live here?" Howl asked.
"No....." Jack answered.
".... Well then, Jack, how about you stay with me? I can teach you about Halloween and how to be scary!" Howl said, at first Jack was quiet, thinking about it. Then nodded.
"Ok." Jack said, quietly.
"Well then! Mayor, I think we can spare one day of planning." Howl said to the mayor. At first he didn't seem to like that idea, when Howl gave him a look.
"Your right!" The Mayor said, clearly nervous.
"Then it's settled!" Howl said, standing up. "Come on Jack!" He added, helping him stand up.
