Commence Operation Hound Dog. Posting order is as follows:

You three have access to M16A2's, M9's, one M-249 SAW, and the M113 APC. Happy hunting. You three may decide amongst yourselves whether or not there will be a point man and who that may be, considering you all share the same rank. Happy hunting.

Tex lingers around the apc, looking at the weapons he has to choose from. "I'll need this for sure." He puts one of the M9's in his thigh holster "Eh, When the others get here, I hope they don't mind if I use the S.A.W. Heh. I love the thing."

Fang walked up behind Tex and after hearing him speak to himself he gave a slight smirk, "I don't suppose we would mind too much. I did request it to be brought along anyway." He stated as he bowed before the man, "hello again I suppose I shall be working with a familiar face, it helps some to know you." He said as he rose up and picked up one of the m-16's and placed the strap around his shoulder, he also picked up one of the m9's and placed it on a holster across his right breast strap. "Now I suppose we must wait for the other man to arrive then we may proceed." He said as he looked at the m-16 and made sure it was well assembled and it was cleaned and everything else of the like. He then proceeded to examine the m9 and then placed them both back in their respective positions on his body.

The soldier listened to the two others from his hiding spot. Satisfied of their attitudes, he silently dropped from his hiding spot holding onto the undercarriage of the APC.

He crawled out quickly and stood up to face the two. He picked up a rifle and shouldered it without saying a word.

He turned to Tex.

"Be my guest." He motioned to the machine gun Tex had been favoring. "That is, of course, if you have no objections?" He indirectly asked Fang without even turning to him.

He checked the rifle and walked over to the awaiting APC.

"I already stated that it was fine by me." He said as he examined the new man and asked, "what would you prefer to be called by during battle?" He then looked over at Tex and then looked over at the APC as he remained in his position without moving. He then rolled his shoulders around in a circle briefly and then stretched his arms out across his chest. He then squatted down and extended one leg from its squatting position and pressed upon his kneecap and held it for a few seconds before doing the same with his other leg and pressed on the kneecap again and held the position again for about the same amount of time and then stood up and bounced on the balls of his feet for a second to try and lighten himself up, he then turned his head with his hands and cracked his neck making a popping noise and then did it the opposite direction.

((Guys I have some bad news, I'm not gonna be able to do this for a while, so I request to be removed from the mission. I got into a wreck the other day, I'm not hurt, but my car is.... well... not working. ;-; So I can't pay for the Net AND my car repairs, I'll be on every now and again. But it was fun guys.))

((Its fine Matrix. I am sorry man. Your place in C.O.N.F.L.I.C.T. will be here waiting for you.))

Hicks jogged to meet up with the others. He had just received word from the C.O.N.F.L.I.C.T. Leader that he was to be Tex's replacement. He hurried so that he would not make his comrades wait.

He had grabbed an M-9 and a M-16 from the armory so he was ready to go.

He entered the garage and saw the Soldiers. Good, he was worried that he would miss them.

He walked confidently over to the APC where the Soldiers were at and said "Greetings Soldiers. I was called upon to be Tex's replacement. Unless of course there are any objections?"

The soldier carefully cleaned his glasses with a piece of cloth from his pocket. His glasses were perhaps the most expensive thing he owned. He replaced them on his head, seeing a quick flash from the mirror-like inside lens. He took comfort in the fact that such an investment were taken and such ingenuity put into something so simple. He felt the temples almost mold to his head. It had far too many features to go through, even though he knew them all.

He looked up slightly at Hicks, then lowered his eyes back to the rifle, inspecting it quickly. He heard what seemed to be a hint of sarcasm in the commander's voice.

"Of course, sir. But what of your involvment in Operation 5-41? That would indeed be a problem, no?" he asked, trying to return some of the sarcasm.

He looked back to Fang.

"I have no name in battle. My rank is sufficient enough to identify me."

He looked back, hoping that his hint of rudeness didn't anger him. The soldier had learned not to get attached to anyone. People die too often to make friends, and he wasn't about to forget that.

He grabbed an outcropping on the APC's side and pulled himself onto the top in one continuous movement. He looked about, and listened. His habits rarely left him at all.

((John you have been reassigned to Operation Requiem with Yen Shi. Report there as soon as possible.))

Hicks lit up a cigarrette and looked at the Soldier "Operation 5-41 is temporarily suspended. The guild members assigned to it were unavoidably detained. And also this mission has lost one of its number..."

Hicks took a drag on his cigarrette and released it "..and thats where I come in."

Hicks looked at the APC. It seemed to be in working order. "Shotgun." he said with a smile and got into the passenger seat of the APC.

"Well sir, this mission has been taken apart piece by piece. It hasn't even started, and it's already been taken apart." He pulled himself into the APC.

It doesn't even seem that we'll make it out of the garage without losing every soldier assigned the task. Ah well, can't be helped.

It's not my decision anymore, the soldier thought. That was an old life. This is now, that was then. He looked across to Hicks, and accepted his authority. Nothing remained of his old life.

The soldier peered through his darkened glasses.

Well, almost nothing.

((Sorry about the mission typo. I was rushing things too much.))

"Are you guys both ready?"
Hicks said as he put a clip ino his M-16 and M-9.

The soldier said nothing, he just nodded his head. He felt the sidearm at his belt. He adjusted his coat and looked foreward.

"Lets hope we don't have any uninvited guests this time." His eyes shifted to the commander, a touch of coldness in his voice, carely enough to be noticed if you were listening for it.

Sensing the Soldiers tone Hicks felt the need to say something to him.

"Nothing is certain on the battlefield and no event can be foretold. We should be thankful that we made it out as well as we did." Hicks said touching his wound with his hand. It didn't pain him anymore but the mark the blade left would forever be with him and remind him of the battle he had fought that day.

He knew that he and McClane had been elusive about why the events happened and who the men were that had attacked them but they couldn't reveal the details not yet.

The soldier was somewhat annoyed. His reaction to criticism was of a fairly low tolerance, it stemmed from the days when he was the CO.
But that was then, this is now. No longer was he the commander, and as such had to take the criticism.

"I never said anything against it. But I'm not thankful, what happens is nothing that can be changed. Nothing can be anticipated, and nothing need be thanked."

He turned back, hoping that the commander didn't take offense.
