I could care less what you guys think of the Iraq policy at the moment. But i want to say a couple of things here. Give this new plan a chance, Liberals have been ******** with the people's minds about the war. They tell us we should run a politically correct war and when we start losing because they b***h and whine that we aren't following what we should they blame bush. Instead let the soldiers and Marines take there weapons off safety and put a ******** bullet into each terrorist they capture. We need these new troops to solve the ******** ups we had at the start of the war. We didn't have enough soldiers to do the job correctly and since they wont let the soldiers fight the way they are trained they are kill um quick. So before you bash Bush think of this, if congress is so worried about our troops and how this is a "illegal war" why wont they let the military run it like it wants. We need to do as General Mc Aurthur, and General Patton ran WW 2. Bomb the piss out of them then move in with troops. Not fight street by street. Saving any terrorist we happen to wound. Let them bleed out. They are worse then dirt and deserve to die a death that is slow and painful. Do not let a bunch of liberals who know nothing about the military and how it runs tell you how we should handle troop levels in iraq. Instead think for a second and realize that if we do not have a fighting force big enough to do what we want it to do. then we shall fail and Iraq shall become a humiliation. just like Clinton and Samolia.
Our thoughts and Prayers go to the Men and Women in Iraq right now. Away from there families doing what they think is right and protecting us and Iraq's from terrorists and keeping our freedoms safe from those who hate it. I same Give them Hell Marines/Soldiers. And if you see a terrorist Cap one for me.

The problem is this in my opinion, too many and too little soldiers. If we really wanted to reform the country, we would have needed an exceedingly larger force in which to maintain order while things were situated. Perhaps it might of been police-statish, but it would of kept order long enough for structure to be put into motion. The main advisors suggested a large force of around the higher hundred thousands. Its just too big of a country to control with only what 30-50 thousand. Sure, taking control of a major city and holding order with troops to clear out the terrorists is all fine and good, but its just one city in and of itself. What about the rest of the friggin country that is housing terrorists? So im left with a fairly black and white choice, Either Pull out and just defend our borders, or if iraq is that important, put some force behind the push. Sure this might be unpopular, some might say more will die with more troops there etc. This is true, but what the point is that it will be a smaller percentage. People die in war, this is a fact, but we can lessen the amount by having enough staff and troops in which to watch each others back, and of which to overwhelm the enemy. Think, if you were a terrorist which would you rather fight? small squads of men, or an entire well organized division stationed in the area?

No matter what we do we must do something. My view is to bring the troops home but were is so much crap now that we need to sends troops over there even though we are risking more lives. Today in my Contemperary Issues class, we discussed this a little today. We discovered that when Sadam was in power, there were no signs of terrorist, ofcourse Sadam was a powerful man. When we invaded they began poping up everywhere. Im not saying that we it wasn't a good idea to overthrow Sadam but think about it. Woud we be in the mess we are in now if we didn't go to Iraq?
Im no liberal on this matter because my view swings both ways.

Honestly i think we should of stayed in afghanistan, found bin laden. There was no real reason to go into iraq other than the "possibility" that they were harboring terrorists. Also for other reasons which there is much controversy. mostly conspiracy theroy. Anywho, in invading iraq we lost even more popularity with the world. honestly we werent that well liked anyway, but the invasion kinda pushed the envelope on it and in turn created more terrorists. Honestly, if you were an iraqi, and some other country just starts trying to change your way of life somewhat forcably, even if they had decent intentions. Would you fight back? Honestly the situation is entirely fubar, and no matter what we do, its gonna end badly. The question is which one ends in the lesser of the two evils.

That's the problem, it really isn't Iraqies fighting back. It's Iranians, and Afghani's terrorists fighting. We beat the iraqies, it's the guys from other countries stirring trouble up. When we first started this mess with Iraq we needed to do the same thing we did to Japan and Germany, Bomb the living ******** out of them. Demoralize them and once there major cities have been leveled then we send in our Jarheads to get shot. Not this politically correct war that we are fighting now. THe ROE (Rules of Engagement) was do not fire unless fired upon. ******** that! You see a b*****d with a weapon drop his a**! We need to stop running this war by public approval. The public doesn't know what they are talking about half the time.

the odd thing is, that iraq was never a part of terrorism before we attacked. we attacked because of potential WMD's of which WE gave them initially. we found NONE. Then we started taking bombs away from afghanistan and away from the actual terrorists to bomb 'suspected' targets where we suspect 'terrorist leaders' or some such nonsense to be... out of fifty bombings, we hit how many? none. civilians we hit a hell of a lot of. Honestly i dont think we should of ever been in iraq in the first place, sure saddam was a bad guy, but there are others, and we should of only gone against those whom wronged us. Theres gotta be some other motive for the actions in iraq... whatever reason empire building, money, warmongering, spreading democracy, oil... who knows, but we are there for the wrong reasons. and as such created our own problems there.
