The rain pounded ever harded on the windowpanes of the old victorian style dormitory in the secluded mountain valley of Ariestide. Pounding, drumming, beating against the glass window. Here, it always seemed to rain. The sky was always filled with rain-filled clouds, the air always damp and the rivers ever running.
The building itself was old but it was sturdy and held up like a battle fortress against any type of weather or natural disaster. It was dark inside and well furnished with various types of ethnic pieces and furniture. The dorm itself had a lavish dining room with a gigantic fireplace, a ballroom, giant kitcehn, a basement, and matching attic...and of course, the stairwell which led to the dorms themselves. The gigantic stairwell was located in the greeting room and was made of polished and fine elbony wood and was covered in a soft white carpet. It first rose seventeen steps into the air and then split off into two twisting coils that rose around eachother like dancing serpents into the different levels of the dorm.
The dorm rooms were both located in two long hallways which were lined with wooden sticks which glowed in the presence of a living being.
And at the end of the hallway, in the glowering dark, a single wand lit up an opening door...
...An opening door into the Dorm in the Rain.
