First of all, how about a little introduction to what this guild is about. First and formost, this guild is a political one. This is a guild for liberals. What makes us different from the LGFIPD then? Because we are liberals who are fed up with the way Christianity is being misrepresented. We are a guild of Christians and non-Chrisitians alike who don't like how people hide behind Christianity to justify anything they do, or to distract from the real issues. We want to see Christianity brought back to what it was meant to be: simply of Christ. Christ's teachings. Love, acceptance, dignity, truth, light.

Now for the rules:

This is more of a decorum for debate, if you will. I have no rules as far as chatting and whatnot goes, except that of gaia's TOS. I do, however, have rules for debate.

1. There will be no name-calling or attacks of any kind.

2. If you make a claim, back it up. Whether you use the bible, a scholarly source, or a personal anecdote, just back it up with something. You can't argue something that has absolutely no evidence or backing.

3. In your application to join the guild, include a couple of sentences that explain why you are fed up with the misrepresentation of Christianity. Include the sentence "I am a banana!" in the application as well.

As for penalties, I am implementing a three-strike rule.

Strike one - simply a warning. It will outline the offence, but it's not anything serious. It's more of a formal reminder than anything.

Strike two - You will be put on "probation" of no less than two weeks. In these two weeks, you will have time to cool off from the debate you were in, gather yourself, make your ammends, etc. etc. After your probation, the strike system starts over.

Strike three - If you cannot cool off during probation and you keep up, then you will no longer be a member of the guild. We will PM you something to that effect and then revoke your membership.

Should I ban you just so that you can apply? wink

Seriously, though, if you'd like, you can write up a post with what your application would contain. I would be very interested in seeing that. smile
