I'm an only child, and my mother has always wanted a boy. Both of my parents wanted a son, and really didn't want a girl, so now that I'm older they're thinking of getting a boy around 8-12. We have it narrowed down to like twenty or so kids, but they're all local so we can meet them and all that.
I was just curios as to other people's thoughts on adoption into families that already have a child.

I don't see anything wrong with it, of course. Adoption is giving another child a chance at a good childhood. I know a couple adopted people...one was my school's Spiritual Life Assistant. He found his birthmother just this year, and talked with her and his half-relatives. He also learnt of how he came to be.
One of my friend's sister is also adopted, from China. There are problems over there with adoption. Since the families can only have one child per household, they want a boy. And if they get a girl...then some put them in orphanages. And so, there are lots of girls in orphanages. I find that to be cruel...
But anyways, I am totally for adoption. 1000%.
