The savannah had turned quiet. Too quiet. Not only this, but the sun was setting. Darn. The daylight hours were always the best, in this male's book. Yes.. bright, happy sunshine. Besides. It showed off the ladies better. With a deep, heavy sigh accompanied by a breif yawn, Ryouji's light blue eyes slowly sank from the setting sun to the water before his large forepaws.

"Hmph." He mumbled with a light sort of smile. Other than that, the adult remained silent, those eyes of his meanwhile sweeping over his own reflection that resided on the waters surface. "Pity. Never seems to be enough ladies to go around these days.." He added, primarily speaking with himself since there didn't seem to be anyone else around.

It was awkward, especially since this was a /watering hole/. He thought that animals were often drawn to it? With another grumble, the blue and white colored rogue slipped to a laying position, although leaving one paw to dangle midway into the water. He flicked it, watching the liquid splash and ripple out of clear boredom. Pity. Yes.

He wasn't all that alone though. On the far, far end of the watering hole, practicly blending into the moonlit grass, and the blue sparkle of water, another lioness stood, her muzzle just over the water's surface.

After a moment, she bent down, letting her maw touch the water, before she began to let her tongue lap up the water, taking her much needed drink.
Being new to the area, she didn't know much about the terrain, so it had taken her awile to find the watering hole, especially since there weren't many other animals to sniff out along the way.

After her drink, she stepped back, letting out a calm yawn as she streached, a bone in her shoulders cracking in unison, then little tiny pops in her paws, as she extended out her claws, then back in, inclining her head up slightly, to gaze up at the stars in the sky, with her pale pink orbs of eyes.

A dim smile formed on her muzzle, as a soft breeze went by, reminding her all too well of her old home in the mountains, far away from this place.
