Lazuli (pronounced La-zul-ai) M. Azaelius

Age: 21 Job: Librarian and Assistant Likes: Books, reading, stars, and classic rock Dislikes: Overly loud people, idiots, people who mess up library books, and his father. Skills: Organizing, memorizing words or numbers, ability to recite long passages from memory, and photographic memory.Has the uncanny ability to recite the title of a book if someone gives him only a call number, and it does in fact work the other way around. Also good at cooking and particularly good at making soups/stews.
Favourite Recipie: His family formula for "Super special awesome stew"
This fellow is socially awkward, but generally likes helping people, despite his irritation with people that are foolish. Happily works at the town library, and knows it's floorplan far better than even the men who built the place.
History: Lazuli has been in Deskira as long as he's been alive. His family has been around the area since the town itself was formed. As a child he was very quiet and shy, often hiding away at the library than at home. Some attribute this to family problems, but in fact Lazuli just loves books and all they stand for. When he was a boy he would often snag books and run up to the hill to read in the daylight, and at night stare up at the skies.
According to townsfolk, Lazuli could have been considered an independent by age ten, for he'd taken over the shed of his household and completely converted it into a minature home with the help of a few adoring neighbors.
Upon age fourteen, he'd graduated highschool and took distance courses for college (mostly to avoid crowds and such). When he was seventeen he'd gathered enough funds to move out of his shed-home into a nice rancher on the eastern side of town.
Two years ago he had an extension built, including a small greenhouse and bedroom. He's still supposedly living alone, but some townsfolk rumors suggest otherwise.

Lazuli's Diary--1/20-- It seems that capricorn has vanished from the sky! I wonder what this means...I'll have to ask him and see if he's picked anything up or noticed anything odd. Ooh, I haven't checked on him lately, but I've been working so much. I'm STILL paying off the extension...anyways, I'd best check this out further. The professor must have noticed by now...Hmm. I wonder if it's going to turn out the same...
--1/24-- He says he's unsure if it's the same scenario. He doesn't sense anything yet. Although he's very certain that something's going on. I need to go check again to night, if it's still the same...well, I'll just have to keep an eye on whoever goes up on the hill, I suppose. Ah, time for grocery run. I swear...he eat's so much...then again, he's still growing plenty. I wonder how tall he'll get...hopefully not too tall, or else he won't be able to get around very well!

Musings and Commentary ---A little place for those odd conversations and little bits that are often forgotten in day-to-day life---
One morning's conversation...
"Who wakes up drinking a cola?" "Well...you drink coffee, I drink cola. Caffine is caffine." "I drink my coffee black, yours has all that sugar." "That's YOUR problem." "I'll remember to say that when you become diabetic" "If I become diabetic I won't stay that way for long." "Oh?" "Yup. What better way to go than suicide by sugar?" "O_o"

Oh my! Crux is missing now too! When I checked in this evening he said that the cross had fallen. It's the same...but I wonder why it's all happening so fast now? I'll have to be careful, this'll cause such a commotion, especially with the professor...I hope he'll forgive me for not letting him walk around more. Such bitter cold isn't good for him though. Spring will be the best time to let him out and about...maybe no one'll notice. Well..that'd be a long shot at best. He does stand out. Unless...well, I'll adress that at a later time.

Ah, been so busy lately. The latest shipment of books are in, and it's such a grand selection! I only recently finished reading them all. Finally there's enough to do a full open house of the library! Hopefully I'll be able to find out a little bit about all the stuff going on, and meet many of the new folks that moved in! It's so nice to see some new faces in Deskira. I just hope it doesn't put any ideas in Kazul's mind. Oh! I'd best run, it seems he's accidently burned the rice again! What am I to do with him sometimes? Ah, I sound like a parent don't I? Haha, he's more a little brother than anything! Or...just a brother I guess. Ah well, I'd best go clean up after him.
