Uovu yawned, and blinked the sleep from his eyes as he slowly awoke. The sunlight was too strong, now... it was Uovu's 'waking-call', and the scrawny lion plodded to his feet with a yowl.
Aaaah, so laazzyyyy.
He couldn't really be bothered with hunting. Where was he, anyway? This wasn't the Southlands, or the Tononeka Camp, the lion group he usually stayed with. No, this was just the...
"The savannah?" he blinked, and stretched out his back legs as he looked around himself, "I haven't been here in a while. Must've come here last night while I was tracking that gazelle."
He looked around the area. He couldn't see anyone about, yet. Ah, well. Better get back to going to his own territory before he met someone.

Kajji padded silently through the grass. He didn't bother trying to be stealthy about it, as his pelt didn't let him blend in. Black, gold and silver tend to do that to a creature. Shaking his mane slightly, Kajji froze. There was someone just ahead of him. Sniffing at the air, he established that this lion was one he had yet to run into out here. Cocking his head to the left, Kajji called out. " Hullo?"

Uovu stopped as soon as he heard the voice.
'Great', he thought, shaking his head, 'I've been spotted.'
Aaah, well. Morning conversation would pass the time. Plus, he didn't feel extremely active today, and his usual shifty nature was taking a day off. He was just a normal lion for the time being, with no will to fight or bicker.
Meeting a new face, however, couldn't be so bad. After all, he should get to know the faces of the lions around him.
"Uh... hi, there," he started, and stopped as he saw Kajji. Wow, his coat sure stood out... he was, however, quite a handsome fella, and Uovu found himself secretly admiring the beast, "You don't come across someone with a coat like that everyday."
It was a change from the usual white or brown. Maybe he was partial to it because he knew a girl that looked similar... he shook the thought away with a blush.

Kajji chuckled softly at other male's comment about his coat. Approaching him, he settled onto his hunches roughly a foot from him. " er thanks?" He questioned slightly. Flicking his tail, he watched the fellow male curiously.

Uovu nodded, and grinned. It was true... he didn't see many lions around with black pelts.
Maybe he just needed to get out more.
"Say," he started, looking into the stranger's eyes thoughtfully, "You wouldn't happen to know where we are, would you? I came here in the night, and seem to have... lost my way," he blinked, foolishly, "The name is Uovu, by the way," he added, out of politeness.
Being polite didn't suit him, but hey, he wasn't up for a hassle today, and it was best to keep it safe.

Kajji grinned at at Uovu. Peering around, Kajji took in the surroundings. " We're just outside the pridelands actually." It seemed the Kajji had a good knowledge of the lands outside of the pride territories. "So where are you from?"

Uovu pulled back.
"Uh... I'm from... the Southlands," he said, nodding his head. He decided not to say anything about the group he was in... telling people he belonged to an invasion-hungry pride with a slightly insane leader wasn't the... best way to meet people, "We're just outside the Pridelands? Aaah, thankyou very much!"
He dipped his head in apprechiation.
"Where are you from, yourself?"

"I'm from all over, at the moment though I make my home in the graveyard" Nodding slightly as if replying to some comment deep within himself, Kajji decided not to trust this lion completely. At least that's what his other half told him to do. And it always helped to listen to him.

Uovu sensed something from Kajji... a quietness, like he wasn't completely... trusting Uovu. Which was okay. Not many people trusted Uovu, so he was used to that. In fact, if Uovu was another lion, and the first Uovu met that 2nd Uovu, he probably wouldn't have trusted that 2nd Uovu, either. If that made sense, that was. Which it didn't. Uovu gave up on thinking about it, and moved on.
"The Graveyard, huh?" he asked, padding around in circles, as if he were trying to remember something of great importance, "That name sure rings a bell. I can't remember why, though."
Maybe as a cub. Uovu tensed, and tried to remember. Something happened there once. Giving up, he looked at Kajji. Hmm, maybe this lion could help him with something...
"Say, do you know anything about seers, sir?"

Kajji blinked, seers? He knew a bit about them, having met one a while back. Twitching his ears, he nodded slightly. " indeed I do know a fair bit about them, why do you ask?" He was curious about the matter now.

Uovu paused.
"No reason," he said, wriggling uncomfortably, "I'm just interested, that's all. I came across one not so long ago... it seems that they are quite the talented creatures, and one step closer to the heavens than the rest of us."
He paused. He didn't have any malicious plans to do with seers or anything. Yet.
"They... hold a lot of power," he continued, "I'm looking for more information on them, actually."

"Prehaps you should track one down and ask them your questions?" Kajji suggested as he let his eyes slip closed for a moment. As he reopened them it was clear something had happened. They shone brighter then they had a moment before. They also held an unstable look to them, slightly insane. Shaking his head, Kajji stared at Uovu almost as if weighing his very soul.

"Well, I was thinking... if you knew something about them..." Uovu paused. Kaijji's eyes showed slight distrust. He'd better be more careful about what he said around the stranger, for this lion seemed the perceptive type.
"Perhaps you should track one down and ask them your questions?"
"Perhaps," Uovu nodded, a little disappointed that he could not draw more information from the cunning black lion, "You're sure... you don't know anything that would be... useful?"
At once, he cursed himself for saying it, for pushing it. He should have just left it lie, and continued on.

Kajji abruptly stood. His gaze growing alarmingly cold. Baring his fangs at the fellow male, he let out a short growl. His muscles were tense and his posture alert. He was acting as if he was an entirely different lion all together.

Uovu started stepping slowly backwards, unwilling to ask anymore questions. He'd chosen the wrong lion to interrogate. This black lion seemed too wise to give him the information he needed.
'Not a fight,' he thought, shaking his head, 'Aaaah, I really don't feel like it today...'
His wounds were already sore and aching from another fight he'd had with two lionesses a few days ago. He didn't need another one to reopen his already healing wounds.
"Hey, hey, hey!" he started, backing off, "Couldn't I... uh... just have a hint or something?"
His voice went a little high-pitched at the end. Uovu wasn't fearful, he would have welcomed a brawl or two. But... when he was feeling so sore, and so incredibly tired, he didn't think a fight was the best way to wake himself up. After all, Uovu wasn't a morning person. If fought now, he'd lose, there was no doubt about that.
It was almost about time that he took his leave.
