It's a quaint little village, most of the bulidings being made of wood. They do have electricity though, and plumbing. They line the street on either side in nice little rows, and contain many shops and resteraunts of various kinds. Inns, weapons, clothing, pets, Italian food, pizza, burgers, ice cream... You name it, they most likely have it.
Back behind the front line of buildings, further away from the street, is the area where people actually live. Though some store owners simply live on a floor above the actual shop part.

Ayumi walked into the village, and onto the cobblestone streets. The sun was shining, which seemed to just make her mood even worse. She walked past several shops with a scowl drawn across her face, until she saw one that caught her eye. It mad from a darker wood than the rest, more of a gray than a brown. It had cobwebs in the window, and it felt to her like no one had gone in it for a while, or that no one knew that it was even there. Ayumi noticed the help wanted sign on the door as she walked in. Inside the shop were several book shelves, and glass cases. Strange unpolished silver objects were placed on tables in the middle of the room. She pulled out her Journal and started writing:
Kano, i just found one of the coolest shops i've ever seen. Its filled with books and trinkets like Uncle Natoro had in his shop. Even the books look like spell and summoning books. This is probably the first place i've found where i might actually Fit in, the even have a Help wanted sign in the win-
Ayumi's words were cut off when a voice came out of no where. "you girl, what are you doing in here?, and why are you writing" Ayumi jumped at the sound of the Masculine booming voice. "Are you from the University, or are you lost or maybe both?" The man had gotten close enough for Ayumi to see, and he was scouling at her. He was a thin man in his early twenties, fair skined, black hair, and emerald green eyes. He was about 6'2" and wearing Jeans, a black t-shirt, and a pair of sneakers. Ayumi was so dumb struck by his normal appearance that she had forgotten that he spoke to her. "Perhaps you didnt here me the first time, but are you from the university, lost, or both?"
Ayumi blinked and looked at him again, closing her journal. "I am from the university, and i'm deffinatly not lost" She said to him as she stuffed her journal in her bag. "I couldnt help but notice the help wanted sign in your window" She said as she walked over to a book case.
"We have no need for help, besides we have no need for someone who has no idea about what any of this stuff is." He said as he crossed the room to where Ayumi had stood before, picked up one of the silver items and dusted it off.
"If only you knew" Ayumi muttered as she opened the book that she was eyeing. She started whispering some of the incantations out loud, and within a second the shop owner was breathing down her neck.
"What the Hell do you think you're doing?" He Yelled wide eyed as he pulled the book from Ayumi. "This isnt something a mere mortal should mess with, you have no idea what it could do!" He was now flailing his arms frantically at her.
"Well its a good thing i'm not a mere mortal isn't it?" She suddenly felt his moist warm breath against her neck. Two sharp teeth were now touching the only sensitive spot on her neck. Ayumi sighed, "it wont work" She muttered as she turned towards him, feeling his teeth scrape her skin. She showed him her teeth, and walked out of the shop.
He called after her, and Ayumi turned with a slightly disapointed look on her face. "You start monday" He said to her, and walked back into the back room. Ayumi turned back towards the street and continued walking.

Khaiden let out a soft sigh of relief. The bustling sound of sweet extroverts and kind bystanders easily calmed the beautiful kitten. The loud shrieks and clashes that erected from within Ria's walls were just to much for her highly sensitive ears. Being blind and a neko, it heightened her hearing to above Super human. It was a good thing on occasions, but most of the times, it was a nuisance. Tapping two slender fingers against her dipped temples, trying to rid of her constant headaches that pounded against her skull as if it were an infuriated neighbor. But atleast things in this small, abode of a town was peaceful enough to where she could relax and maybe even rid of her headache. Soft, ocean blue eyes blurred into a vision with a whisper of mystic hushes. Now with her graced eyes, she was able to see the figures that blocked wind. She noticed more people than she had expected from Akuture's reputation, but that didn't matter. Atleast they weren't running around like little children wanting to fight just to gain popularity. Silken black dress ruffled in the breeze, soft ebony curls tossling over her slender shoulders. The place was somber, but filled with hope and high-set ambitions for the little ones. She should've come here more often.

Ken walked into the town from the beach, loathe to leave the soft voices within his head to the louder bustle of a town, but he couldn't just sit at the beach all day. He couldn't sit still very long- it was a quirk of his. His black hair fell across his face, and the daylight made it seem like he was blind rather than possessing softly glowing white eyes. He noticed Khaiden, and thought she seemed vaguely familiar. He walked toward her and hesisitantly asked, "You go to the University, don't you?"

Now used to being ignored, Ken simply walked away. He was starting to get bored... and they said things were supposed to be fun off-campus. He sighed and turned to leave the town right after entering it. This place was not for him either.

Dredd, after some time of counting every cent of his pocket money after he had to reconfigure his spending plan. He hadn't counted on food being free here so he thought he wouldn't have as much money to spend. Nowm after he'd taken a portion fom one of the hiding spots in his dorm he set out, keeping in mind to spend sparingly. He wasn't going to have this money forever so he neded to keeps his financial needs in mind. So with that in consideration he headed off into the town to buy useless crap.

Mizuki was, in fact, up in the sky, floating along effortlessly. Only, it was actually requiring quite a bit of effort, not to mention concentration. She tended to get distracted at times. So as she viewed the ground some twenty feet below herself, she caught sight of a familiar face. Dredd's face. Or rather, the top of his head. But, she recognized it sure enough. With a grin, she lifted a hand to wave towards him. "Hey Dre-" However, that's as far as she got. She'd lost her concentration due to that simple act, and was suddenly plummeting downwards, too shocked to even scream. She hit the ground pretty hard, about ten feet from Dredd, grunting quietly as the wind was knocked out of her. She landed on her back, and was lucky she hadn't hit a building or something. She lay stunned, then suddenly rolled onto her side, curled into a ball and clutching her stomach. She opened her mouth a few times, gaping like a fish out of water, until she was finally able to draw in air. "....ow," she mumbled sulkily.

Dredd, not at all dumbfounded by this casualy, but quickly, walked over to her with some amount of concern. Also witty remarks. "I'd give that crash an eight out of ten, would have been perfect if you broke a bone." He said with a smirk, though it wasn't like he didn't feel bad, it was a nasty fall. at first he didn't recognise her but it came back to him pretty quick now that he was looking at her. "Need a boost there Miz'?" he asked, extending a hand down for a litle support. "Or do you need a second down there?" he added.

Mizuki blinked, several times, before her vision cleared enough for her to see him clearly, and it became one hand and not three that he was offering. She frowned for a second, then suddenly grinned. "Can you believe I've never broken a bone before?" She pushed herself up so she was sitting, rubbed her head for a second, then picked her hat up from the ground and shoved it back on her head. After that, she finally reached out and accepted Dredd's hand. "Yeah, than-" However, she suddenly cut off, her eyes going wide. However, instead of focusing upon Dredd, her gaze went right past his head, apparently looking at nothing at all. Though, she looked pretty shocked. Was she hallucinating?

When her gaze went through it felt like his entire brain just licked an A battery. In that state his mind went backwards, sending an old memory from childhood to Mizuki.
The world became bigger, or whatever eye's that were being looked out of was a lot smaller. The place Mizuki was seeing was through Dredd's eyes at the age of eight.
"Dredd! " A little girls voice called as a small hand reached up to its face and shoved the last bit of cookie in his mouth. " Dredd! theres a fight! c'mon urry' up! " she said with a slur that had a strange elegance as the voice revealed itsef. A girl no older than the age of eight with a long, dark violet hair an lighter grey eyes walked into a makeshift kitchen with various adults in it at tables. She was considerable taller than Dredd, since he had always been small.
"Realy? Who's getting the hell beat out of em'? "A very young, slightly scratchy voice said, obviously little Dredd. Just as much of a rascal as he was at sixteen. The girl replied " Some idiot picked a fight wit' one of the older kids. You better hurry before the cops break it up. Cmon! " She then raced out of the kitchen into a dirty hallway, Dredd flowing behind her thinking 'Yeah m' sure they give a damn bout' this armpit of the city' .
Then as the Girl got down to the bottom of the stairs, Dredd jsut starting down since she was taller and faster, Dredd slipped. Through his eye's you could see the spining staircase. as he barreled down. Though he seemed to be alright once he was at the bottom, standing up and brushing off some old jeans that were several sizes too big. " Ah told you them shoes are too big for you Dredd. You trip up all the time in em' . The girl said in a 'I told you so' way. Then starting off for a windows ahead of them, surrounded by kids cheering. " Hey its not like I had a choice, I either took em' or not ave' any shoes." He said, looking down at his attire for a moment.
From his downward perspective you could see a big, dirty white t-shirt, the overly baggy jeans and some crappy, beat up Adidas sneakers. He then refocused his attention to getting an opening at a window. There were several, this builing looked like a refurbished warehouse with lots of windows. Dredd couldn't muscle his way through being smaller than all ofthe other kids. So the violet haired girl did it for him. " C'mon, step aside already, animals." she demanded, shoving some kids aside.
Dredd wriggled his way through the small sea of kids and to the windowsill. It was just in time too see a guy get decked in the face before things in the memory went black and ended. Just as a tooth got knocked out onto the streets of the ghetto.
Back to the present, Dredd looked about confusedlyconfusedly. for a moment. Then said, "Did everything taste purple for a second?" He hadn't seen the memory but his mind went black for a second. It apparently left some form of 'mental aftertaste'.

Mizuki stood mindlessly, though really it just seemed her mind had deserted her, replacing itself with someone else's. She was seeing through someone else's eyes, as could be told by how much closer to the ground her head now seemed. She tried to look around, but her eyes wouldn't move according to her will. They moved on their own. She heard someone say Dredd's name, a young girl. Shortly before that, she'd seen a hand feeding what would be her mouth a cookie. Dredd. She was seeing through Dredd?
When Dredd spoke, it was confirmed. It was him. Younger, but still him. A memory...? she thought to herself. It'd been a while since she'd done something like this, mainly because she'd refrained from touching people too often. However, she hadn't been thinking the moment she'd taken his hand. Seemed she should have been.
She heard the girl explain, some sort of fight, and then Dredd's thoughts echoed through her head. Or was it his head? She wasn't sure. She felt like she was simply invading his head though, taken up a small spot of residence.
When young Dredd tumbled down the stairs, her vision swirled right along with his. Her real body let out a sudden scream of alarm, though to her at this moment, she thought it was just inside her head. Or Dredd's. Whatever. Well whoever's it was, the head tilted. Mizuki was looking down at not her own body, but a kids instead. The clothing was, indeed, too large for him.
And then he was wriggling through the crowd, watching someone get his face smashed in, a tooth falling to the ground. Then.. nothing. For a moment there was simply darkness, and then Mizuki was suddenly in her own body again, stumbling backwards and away from Dredd, wincing and clutching at her head.
She was silent, her eyes slightly wide as she stared up towards Dredd, appearing to be stunned for a second. Then she gave her head a good shake, adjusted her hat, and straightened, trying not to show that her head felt ready to explode. "S-sorry.." she stammered, having expected him to shout at her or something, like so many others had previously. Then seemed to realize what he'd really said and her expression went blank. "...purple?"

He kinda went into a transe so he didn't realy have any focus on anything. It was like being asleep but you were just in a sub-concious blackness for a minute. He fully snapped out of it when she backed up and asked about purple. "Yeah, do you think we just got the brain plauge? I hear thats been going around lately." Dredd said, doing his best to figure out what just happened. "But ah... enough of that for now, what are you doing here?" Dredd said wantingto change the subject, for some reason he remembered something from long ago just then.

Mizuki stared at him blankly for a long moment. So he.. didn't know what she was talking about? Didn't know what she'd just done? Well, that was good. Hopefully he wouldn't realize and start avoiding her like tons of others had. She sighed quietly, then shrugged her shoulder, forcing a smile to appear on her face. She disregarded his first question, going along with the subject change a little eagerly. "I was flying," she grinned. "Practicing with my powers. I lost my concentration though." She waved a hand at the light indent in the soft ground that had appeared as a result of her collision, wrinkling her nose as she noticed it. That had hurt... and now her head felt like it was ready to split. She ignored it. "What about you?"

"Oh yeah, keep it up, and fly low. Just a tip." he joked, then answering her question about what h was doing here. "Ah- hmm" What was he doing here again? ...OH right, he came here to blow some money. "I came to just kinda browse around. You know maybe buy something stupid for my dorm. Do you think they might have one of those Novelty prank shops around here? I saw something somewhere about weapons and thought it would be neat to look at some swords." Basicly, he just wanted to find something shiny, or something that would annoy people.

Mizuki nodded, smiling with slight embarrassment. "Yeah... good idea." Flying low sounded like a good thing to start doing. She hadn't expected to fall, and she'd been doing well so she'd let herself get carried away and go up higher. Bad idea. She rubbed her upper back lightly, wincing as she touched the freshly bruised skin. Somehow, that also seemed to send another searing pain through her head. She quickly dropped her hand back to her side. She blinked at his question, then turned and glanced around. "I assume there would be one somewhere," she shrugged. "Just look around some? And if it's not here, I'm sure it'd be at the mall."
