The Courtyard and Pond.
The courtyard sits towards the Noth-Eastern corner of the campus. It's filled with multiple trees of various sizes and colors, some even baring fruits of assorted flavours. A small stone walkway leads through these peacful grounds. The walkway also leads you to the pond.
The pond is a natural looking rock pond, witha small trickling waterfall to the one side. Inside swim many assorted koi fish. The water is crystal clear and the depth of the pool seems to drop to about ten feet. The pond is prety big, which is why the walkway encircles around it. The walkway can lead you to three places; the hospital, the dining hall and the boys dorm.

A girl of five feet, five inches wandered into the courtyard, her expression pretty much nonexhistant as she stared blankly around throgh dark red eyes. Thick brown hair fell around her shoulders and she wore no shoes. She had on a simple black tank top, a pair of black pants, and carried a small, plain bag in her hand. In the other, she was cradling a black cat with golden eyes, who was currently staring around as well.
Behind the girl stood a tall male, with shaggy black hair that nearly entirely covered his piercing blue eyes. He was deathly pale, dressed in a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. He had a slight smirk upon his pale lips as he stared around, then glanced back to Akane. "Well, this place looks nice," he said sarcastically.
Akane was silent for a moment, ears twitching when she heard him speak. Her tail flicked and she glanced over her shoulder at him before replying. "I suppose..." she said, voice soft. "People with powers come here, correct? Maybe someone will die, and I'll get some practice..." Sei, the male, just smirked slightly in amusement and then went back to looking around. He kept making eye contact with random people, just to see if they could see him. He was a spirit, after all. Only a certain few would be able to, unless he chose to make himself visible. At the moment, he was not.

Melina was glancing into the pond, unsteadly and uncertainly, she hadn't really ever seen a pond before to be honest. There wasn't a whole lot of natural...or even man-made-natural things where she used to live. She knew about things like fish and the beach of course, she had just never physically seen a pond. She was unsteady because she was standing on one of her long legs, the other out behind her as if to balance her. This wasn't working much though, and as she leaned in closer to see a fast swimming fish, she almost fell in fully. Quickly regaining her compsure she shook her head and then sighed.
She flipped back a strand of dull bubble gum pink behind her ear as she gathered her small, plain violet back pack and thrust it over her shoulders. She picked up her black flip-flops not bothering to slip them under her jeans, as she tugged down a bit on a white tank top, her hairclip as always still in place. She walked out of the area to the pond and saw a girl caring a neko and a boy following her around. She wasn't sure why they were the first thing she spoted, maybe it was because she liked animals, maybe it was because the boy seemed...almost errie?
She wasn't sure what it was, but she walked a little closer as looked him over, he was so pale, and she almost shivered when she saw his bright blue eyes. She refrained though, more than anything intriged as she stopped a few feet from him and then just smiled.

Sei turned his head yet again, eyes falling upon a girl with pink hair. Instead of looking away instantly like before, this time he kept his gaze upon her, trying to figure out if she could see him, or if she was just staring at Akane. He blinked a few times, then casually leaned over, the smirk instantly returning. He set his arm on Akane's small shoulder, using the girl to hold himself up. She tilted under his weight, but didn't protest.
"Look, I found someone interesting already," Sei said smugly, and Akane turned her head to face the girl as well. Her dark red eyes blinked a few times, her ears twitching, but staying flattened back like usual. The kitten she held let out a small 'mew' as he too glanced at the girl, so she was now being fixed with three seperate sets of eyes, all of varying, somewhat odd colors. "...it seems she can see you," Akane finally agreed.

Melina almost fell over after seeing three sets of eyes staring over to her, but she quickly calmed back down. Mostly it was the fact that the cat was staring at her as well, that freaked her out the most. While she loved animals and hung around them often, usually they didn't stare distinctly at someone unless they knew them well. She shrugged it off though as she approched them all and gave another smile, as she glanced from the boy around her height, the girl, and the cat.
"Um...hi, nice to meet you all" she said as she gave a wave to them, though it probley seemed odd that she had said 'all' inclinging the cat into the conversation as well.
She then looked back up to the male "Espeically you..." she said, a bit of playfullness in her eyes. It was fake. To be honest, he was kind of cute, and she probley would like him, but Melina never really ment things when she flirted. And the girl seemed kind of more intresting than the male, just because of how she looked, and the emptyness in her eyes. The male seemed to be the livest of the bunch, which was odd, because he gave her a weird feeling.

All three watched as the girl wandered towards them, none of them even blinking. Akane's ears remained flattened back, but the kitten's were perked and attentative. Sei, who was simply human, or used to be, just watched her with that smirk still upon his face. When she finally reached them, Akane gave a small bow of her head. "Nice to meet you," she said quietly. "I am Akane Zetsumei..." She held up the kitten slightly, who gave another small 'mew' as she did. "And this is Kuro." She blinked when the girl looked back at Sei, and turned to look at him as well.
He looked slightly taken aback, but then continued grinning. He remained leaning on Akane's shoulder, but slowly brought his hand forward. He looked as if he was going to touch the girl's cheek, but instead his fingers went right through, coming back out on the other side of her head. Then his arm dropped back by his side and he laughed. "Especially me?" he repeated. "I'm Sei. And who might you be, miss pink hair?"

Mealine actually turned very pale when he went through her and she just blinked, staring in a bit of aw for a few moments. She then snapped out of it before giving a slightly off laugh, manly because she was surprised. "Darn...guess we can't be doing anything...interactive..." she said waving her hand slightly off to the side. She then just gave him another laugh before turning back to the girl for a minute, the kitten was so cute, she couldn't help it!
Besides, the girl was pretty polite, she had more faith in her than this spirit, even though she knew she herself wasn't one for debate. She gave it a gentle rub around the ears as she looked up at the girl "Your cat seems quite polite, but what's distressing you?" she asked pointing to the girls own ears that were perked backwards and looked like they might always be that way.
She then paused, glancing back up at Sei, she gave a slight smirk again to him, but it was more flirty than before. "Mealine, but just call me Mel, Sam, Sammy or Lisa" she said not clear as to how she got any of those nicknames but Mel.

Sei smirked, not letting the expression fade from his face. "Aw, damn," he grinned. But really, he could make himself solid if he wanted... His smirk grew wider at the thought, but for now he didn't do anything. He'd randomly mess up her hair or something later, just to show her that he could.
Akane glanced from Sei back to the girl, and fixed her with another stare. Kuro snuggled into her hand, purring very quietly. Upon his head, around one of his ears, there was a large scar hidden under his fur. It looked very much like his head had been busted open and then sewn back together. He was also cold to the touch, rather than warm like expected and actually lacked a heart beat...
When she was asked a question, Akane blinked in confusion, and then slowly shook her head. "Nothing is wrong," she replied quietly. Her ears were just always flattened back, even if she wasn't sad. It was very rare she actually got worked up or excited, so it was rare for her ears to perk as well.
Her head tilted slightly to one side when she again turned her attention to Sei, introducing herself to him rather than to all of them. A very slight frown threatened to take over her lips, but she kept it from actually forming as she just watched the two. Sei just grinned, not really caring. "Those are weird," he said bluntly. "I'll call you Mel then."

Mel just blinked as she looked from one person to the other, her nervousness starting to grow randomly. "Ah! Sorry miss Akane, I sort of assume things too much, its a bad habit of mine...which is why I have too..." she cut off not really wanting to share another side of her personality. She had to be careful, she couldn't trust anyone yet, espeically not strangers just because there was a cat...a really cat she thought getting distracted.
She snapped back to reality again as she gave a slightly nervous smile, it was the odd waves coming from them all, not bad waves, just different. "Hey don't be mean, I like some of those!" Mel said to Sei as she gave a laugh. "Well...so how did Sei become a...ghost? And is it possiable that I can see Kuro for a minute? He's...really cute" she said unable to conatain herself around fluffy animals.

Akane blinked, head tilting slightly to one side. "It's fine," she assured her, voice staying in almost the same tone, no matter what. She did grow curious when Mel trailed off, but her expression didn't show it, and she didn't ask either. When the girl asked about Kuro, she nodded and slowly held out the cold, heartbeatless kitten towards her, then watched carfully for some sort of reaction. It'd been quite a while since someone had held him other than her or Sei. Most people caught the strange vibes, and simply hurried away.
Sei just stuck his tongue out at Mel, still leaning against Akane, who was in turn still tilting under his weight on her shoulder. He shrugged at her question, and then replied in a rather calm tone. "I was shot in the back by a jealous classmate," he replied. "But, I got him back." His smirk grew a little more menacing as he spoke.

"Thank you" Mel said to Akane as she grinned and took the kitten in her own arms. She could tell that it wasn't really all the way alive, and sure, that might have creeped her out but it didn't. Just like it didn't creep her out that Sei wasn't alive right now, she knew it should have though, which started to worry her slightly. She felt eazed though still, as if she had already known about these things and didn't mind them much anymore at all.
She cuddled the cat as she scratched under its stomach and around his slightly frail, cool body. She just giggled as she watched it bat at her, she really was a sucker for animals. Animals never had betrayed her yet, she didn't think they would in the future either. She turned back to Sei to hear his response and the smile on her lips turned into a frown quite quickly. "You really got shot...did...wh...what did you do to get him back? she asked her voice becoming very serious.

Akane just nodded, watching the girl playing with Kuro. She was a little happy, though it still didn't show on her face. Finally, someone who didn't make up and excuse and run as soon as they realized the three of them weren't... normal. Akane herself should probably be dead by now, but she wasn't. She was still alive and breathing, though she did have a nice stitching job on her side. If the wind blew and fluttered her shirt, it was visible on her side, a large curvy line that looked very much like something had simply taken a bite from her side. She'd patched it up all on her own when she was no older than ten.
Sei smirked, chuckling to himself, sounding pretty scary as he did. He actually seemed threatening at the moment, rather than almost laid back like moments before. "I simply never let him have a moment's rest, hanging around him all day and all night, popping out at him, throwing things, making objects fly around... And one day, he killed himself." He laughed again, and glanced to Akane, who seemed not at all bothered by the story, or the fact that the evil sounded Sei was still leaning against her. "A while after that, I met Akane, and have taken to bugging her instead."

Mel watched him, listening intently to his words before turning back to the kitten after a long silence followed them. She rubbed and scratched under its chin "That wasn't...right, he shot you...I imagine he didn't have a good reason because you seem so...different about it. Still though...to end someone's life...just because they did it to you...it doesn't give you permission to do it." Mel was pretty non-chaning her views about sucide and murder, she had to admit she had liked Sei...well no she did still kind of. After hearing that, she felt the trust break again, the mini, plaster wall that was easy to take apart.
"It was your choice though..." she said softly looking at the ground before then looking back at the kitten and giggling at its inoccent actions. She handed it back to Akane gently before smiling at her and giving her a soft bow of thanks. She turned back to both of them "So are you two together?" she asked softly, if they were, like boyfriend and girlfriend then Mel wouldn't interfer, she knew she really shouldn't anyway.

Sei just shrugged, and glanced up to the sky. "No matter what others have to say about it, I'm not going to start feeling bad." And that was all he said before dismissing the idea. Or at least, all he said aloud. His mind was still wandering, a dark frown upon his face as he continued staring up at the sky. He would never forgive that guy, even if he had ended up getting him back. Akane had heard him rant on and on for hours about the subject, but he'd spare Mel from listening.
But really. He'd lost the ability to eat, he couldn't really feel things anymore. That also meant he couldn't be hurt, but that didn't matter. He'd rather be able to be hurt again if it meant he could feel. Others couldn't feel him either. He was very cold to the touch, almost icy. He was surprised Akane hadn't shoved him away yet. But then again, she always put up with him, somehow. She was just extremely patient.
Akane carefully pulled Kuro back into her arms, snuggling the cold kitten to her chest. Now she had an icy cold on her side, and another on her front, but she put up with both of them. She'd pushed away Sei once, when they'd first met, and his expression had looked so hurt... She'd never forget it. So now she wouldn't let herself push them away.
She blinked at Mel's question, and then tilted her head back to glance at Sei. "No... we're not," she said quietly. Sei finally snapped from his thoughts looking at Akane, the ground, and then Mel again. "Yeah.. just good friends," he agreed with another shrug.

"Great!" she said obviously getting the answer she wanted to hear and then just gave a nervous laugh, her hand slipping behind her head again as she rubbed it messing up her hair eaisly. "So uh...wanna be my ghost boyfriend?" she asked as she giggled slightly and just looked up waiting for his answer. The truth was...she wasn't joking, she felt trusting to all of them even though she shouldn't. Actually Sei had been the only one that had given a reason that she shouldn't, but her heart wouldn't accept it at all. And she just smiled up at him, she knew he probley couldn't touch her, and most would see it as not a use but she wanted to try either way.
She did glance between the two before they had answered though...maybe something had developed over time that they both had missed? Mel wasn't sure, but if that was the case, then eventually it would be revelied to everyone.
