Hello, recently I've talked to someone who was wiccan. This person said that in her school, Christian kids were bullying her, trying to persecute her and stuff. She believes in being able to do stuff about witchcraft. She told me she erased her memories, she healed people and all that stuff. I don't believe she can do that but I'm not sure about the Christian kids persecuting her. I didn't think some Christian people would do that....

Ah. The ever present Christian bullies. I've never had to deal with any 'real' bullying from any Christian, but I know they exist. Last year, I went to a privite Lutheran school. One of the boys in the grade below us is homosexual (he was very open about it), and some of the girls I used to talk to were complaining that they'd have to share a teacher with him this year. After a while, they started making plans on how to 'convert' him. At that point, I transferred schools (I was having my own dificulties with my peers sweatdrop ), and haven't seen much of them since. xp
Anyway, my point is that Christians are human. No matter where you go, there's always going to be at least one person like that, even among religious people. gonk You just have to put up with it until they get bored.

mmm.. I know what you mean. People who say they are christian, either are imperfect(which everyone is), or just labeling themselves without knowing what it really means, or they really are indifferent about it. There are so many cases razz You may even say they arent "real" christians if they are bullying. Or, they are ignorant of what they are doing. hmm.. well, all i can say is that God is a fair judge and He's the one who would really know their hearts. 3nodding
(btw, i love your name! sakura and sasuke! ahh.. i like them as a couple.. kawaii whee )

Christianity carries a long line of bullies, From the Crusades to teh Salem Witch Trials.
And her abilities to do that are questionable, but not altogether impossible. I've learned that people are capable of some incredible things, and I think Witchcraft has far too long a line of followers to simply assume they're entirely incapable of the things they claim.

As your wonderful resident occultist of the guild, I would first like to tell you all that there is but one thing in this story that indicates, rather obviously, that said "Wiccan" is not a Wiccan at all. Wicca is an oath-bound mystery initiatory religion, as per its founder, Gerald Gardner. We're talking about "kids" in a "school," which I'm assuming is not quite yet college, and that said "kids" are under 18 years of age.
There are two lineaged covens in the world that accept children into their covens, and with that, the child must have full parental consent. Even then, both covens make few exceptions, and they have only done so because members of their covens have wanted to allow their children to witness the rituals and rites, mostly performed in the nude.
So, that being said, the Wiccan in the OPs story is not a Wiccan, but what we educated occultists and many on Gaia kindly refer to as a "fluffy bunny."
Aside from that, of course there are Christians that will harass her. Hell, I'm a Satanist, and I'd harass her, because that's how I tend to deal with idjits. I agree with Redeption. Christian are humans, and it is human nature to not exactly treat someone you find as different, scary, stupid, or awkward kindly.
At the same time, I think these bullying Christians can be valid Christians. A Christian is a person who follows Christ's teachings and actions, and invests belief in him and his sacrifice. Christ was not, I repeat, not someone free of judgement, according to his actions and teachings recorded throughout the NT. He did judge non-believers. Not harshly, but he judged them nonetheless. I find it to be a complete inaccuracy that Christians need to have a good-guy-badge stuck to their shirt, never judge a soul, never doubt YHVH or Yeshua, never become angry, and never curse... to be considered Christians.

The definition of a christian that you have said is very accurate. Except that love has something to do with it too. Loving God and others lead to actions, whether good ones, or bad ones if it is a lack of love razz . IT is a common misconception that Christians have to be the "good guys", and Christians sin as much as other people. The difference is, is that we have grace, that we understand it, and that hopefully we'll change and learn from it. And judging.. wow thats a whole other topic in itself. .

Though because Christians are humans, and humans can naturally hate, I think it would be an innacuracy, still, to say that only those who flawlessly abide by "love thine enemy" can consider themselve's "Christian."

Amen! heart We are NOT perfect...we just worship someone who is/was/will be.... I get very tired of people expecting me to be a wonderfully accepting, balanced, kind person because they catch wind that I'm a Christian... On a good day, it's still a struggle for me to be all fo those things. on a GOOd day...I will like do any of the number of things Pirate listed....it's how it is. I'm human. I am subject to human failings.

Orangeeful I had a friend that was Wiccan..but then again she was Buddist and everythinmg else two so it's not even relevant to this topic.... She probably wasn't a Wiccan. Wicca is an oathbound initiatory fertility cult, contrary to the lies Silver Ravenwolf spews.
