I'm sure I'm not the only person here that have ambitions on wrestling and going pro/indy with it one day, who else here is actually trying to go that distance?

I use to wrestle for a backyard fed over here but that was just for fun. I have no desire to become a professional wrestler. I would love to have a job in the wrestling industry but I don't think I would be able to wrestle every night.

i used to be the local Backyard Wrestling heavyweight champion and i still sometimes go back and have a match or two but im retired now because of injuries. if i got to the gym i could work the injuries off but dont have the desire to do so. since the FWA jobbing i did i realise that my body cannot sustain such frequent gruelling matches so i dont bother anymore. i loved my days in the BYW and FWA circuits but now im happy just storyline writing and gimmick designing 3nodding biggrin

I thought you were the one who said you'd never see the inside of a hospital. Geez o'pete, it looks like you flushed your talent down the toilet, doesn't it?

I would love to get into the buisness. I believe I would be a unique wrestler, I can cut a good promo although for some reason my RP promo's aren't the greatest. I'm only 14 but if I joined RIGHT now my in ring work would be surprising. I'm a little big but I can do every flip Jack Evans does. I just need to get stronger, and more in shape and I got it made. cool

I'd love to do it, but I'm pretty sure it won't happen. I've got some decent submission holds and I'm trying to work something out with my friend (who is supposedly starting a backyard wrestling promotion for fun) so that I can pretty much just squash jobbers and cut promos because my parents are scared shitless by the concept of me getting in a wrestling ring.

I've wanted to be a wrestler since I was 3 years old. Still do, But I promised my parents I would finish college before I climb into the ring, I am currently strength training and Writing and doing gimmicks for a local company in Iowa. I know the head trainer and he has promised to train me once I graduate high school I'm only 16 but I've been a student of the sport for awhile. I've climbed in the ring before shows and some of the guys have taught me some basics. I set up chairs, take tickets and have even helped set the card. I'm just waiting for my chance to actually work.
