The pond glowed with life as the suns rays hit it. Little fishes could be seen at the bottom swiming around. Birds were lightly chirping and the winds would blow lightly from time to time. The sky was a lovely light blue with a few clouds here and there.
Dante had been bored playing around in the forest and decided to sit under a tree and listen to the birds. He deeply sighed as he wished that someone would play with him. "I'm so bored..." he mumbled.

Gazing over at the young astraen sitting peacefully
under a tree he silently walked over, casting a shadow over him peering over his head.
He didnt say a word at first as it wasnt like him to engage in conversation but
something about him sitting alone reminded him in himself. Altho
a happier carefree self he which wish he was.
"so..bored hm?" he was amazed at himself even at talking, but at hearing the
young male mumble to himself it was only natural to respond even if he came
of the blue.

Dante looked up and saw Squall. "Hi!" Dante chirped with a smile. "Wanna join me?" he asked as he motioned for Squall to sit next to him.

Squall shruged and gave a faint smile and sat next to him
"whats your name?" he said his eyes staring up at clouds.

"My name is Dante!" Dante chirped. He was happy that he had someone else to talk to instead of being by himself. "So what do you like to do in you spare time?" He asked as he watched Squall.

Squall sorted his belts on his trousers and flicked his hair
back looking at Dante "You know what as weird as it may seem..
i just sit alone and gaze at the sky often..just as we are now..."
he stumbled off as he realised how foolish he must have sounded and
how unsocial.. normal kids his age were out having fun..
"Yeh weird hm.. guess..im not one for people..." he grinned alittle at Dante.

"Wouldn't you get bored and lonely after awhile?" Dante asked. He couldn't see himself doing that. He would be bored out of his mind. "Why don't you like to talk to other people?" He asked. He seemed full with questions toady. He hoped Squall didn't mind his curiousity.

"lonley... im always lonley its better to be alone then you cant get hurt.."
Squall could see Dantes curious face and shock at why he would enjoy all
this lonliness. He must have seemed odd to such a young carefree boy.
He chuckled alittle and lay down under the tree.
"Well whatever reasons enjoy the peace on a day like today..so do you have
an owner? what are they like?" Squall was interested in the world around others.

] Dante was shocked that he would rather be alone.... He couldn't help it anymore. He gave Squall a big hug. "But doesn't being lonely hurt as well?" Dante asked. He knew what it was like to be lonely. "My owner keeps me company when he can, but most of the time he is busy." Dante replied to his question. He smiled as he thought of his owner giving him a huge blanket and letting sleep with him at nights.
'I don't want Squall to feel lonely.' Dante thought with a frown. He decided that would try to keep Squall company as much as he could.

Thinking to himself "its not that i want to be alone just...isnt it better
that way..?" his thoughts were quickly interupted by a hug
Squall was alittle stunned but the warmth of this hug felt so nice
and he felt at ease. He blushed alittle at the young males
kindness. Squall always had so many people around him yet he ended
up pushing them all away, he was scared of loosing them.
"I just..just dont want to loose anyone" Squall lay his head on Dantes
shoulder as he hugged him. "Thank you.. for ..for caring..
but people leave in the end..." he drew bk from the hug and sighed.

Dante was confused now. "But I won't leave you." Dante replied with a determined look on his face. 'Why would people leave you?' he thought.

Squall frowned and avioded the question and stook up and walked over
to the and looking at his reflection.. "They just do...altho my owner is nice
im sorry you owner leaves you ..my owner never leaves me" he chuckled
alittle "but thats not a good thing when you want to be alone. I guess im just strange" He splashed his paw in the pond.

"What about the pretty lady that is always with you?" Dante asked. He walked over and sat next to Squall. He didn't like to see Squall look so sad. "Wanna know a secret?" Dante asked with a sly grin.

Dante cheered in his head as Squall chuckled. "Okay, my secret is......that I can't swim." Dante declared. "I know it souns silly, but I feel bad when people want me to swim and I have to make up an excuse not to go."
