This is a Private RP for: Pageantry NC-Chan EDIT: Brolis' character will meet up with us in the next town No others are to post here unless you are invited. I must be notified of invitations. If you are invited, your name will appear on the above list. Alexis walked slowly with her cohorts along Route One with her Growlithe walking alongside her to her right and with her Biaron perched comfortably upon her left shoulder.
"..Soo..How long do you figure this Route is?" the purple haired girl inquired, blinking curiously as she looked around at the others whom she had been walking with.
It seemed as though it was an innocent enough question. Plus, there was nothing better than an innocent question to aide her in her facade of putting on an innocent front.((I hope that that was an alright starting post..^^;; ))

Well, things had been interesting, if nothing else. Seeing as the town they had just left was basically on a spit of land, there had only been one way to really go. However... "I'm not sure. But do you really want to walk in the trees? I thought we might get a chance to walk a bit along one of the beaches, for the view if nothing else." Karly raised an eyebrow, seeing as the sun wasn't high enough up to do more than light up the trees and ground. "Although...your Growlith probably wouldn't like that, eh?" She glanced at the Pokemon in question, a bit of a smile at the corner of her mouth. She had an ulterior motive though...some water types were known to sun themselves on beaches. She'd found that having balance usually fed her luck in battle; acquisition of a water type would be a big boost. That being said, the blue-haired woman ran a hand over the pokeballs on her newly aquired belt, pausing in confusion upon finding a scratchy rough spot on one of them. "What in the world?" [[ XD Still wanna guess at her parental, Page? *still needs to do sprites of Floyd and Chip*]]

((Hnn..Well, the Journal said something about a Pokemon named Spitfire being the adoptive father of sorts. Though, with a name like Spitfire, I'd be tempted to say a Charizard. However, one of the posts said that Spitfire would encourage her to run..so..Maybe a Houndoom?)) Alexis slowly shook her head.
"I don't think Growlie would care too much for the beach because of all of the wild water types that can be found there. Though, Natura would probably love it." the blue eyed trainer replied right before the Biaron chimed in with a happy "Rrrron!" while flapping her wings a bit. The trainer giggled.
Upon hearing the 'what in the world?' from the other trainer, the purple haired female stopped and looked over at her cohort.
"..Something wrong, K-chan?" she inquired.

Karly's brows were wrinkled in confusion. "I'm not sure..." Pulling the ball in question off her belt, she tapped the button to return it to it's normal size and then peered at the scratchs carved into the pokeball. "Ta...i...ma..tsu... huh, sounds like a name." Glancing up at Alexis, she shrugged. "Only one way to find out what's up with this pokeball..." She flicked her wrist toward a clear space, sending the pokeball flying. "Pokeball go." She was fully prepared to go walking after it, certain it was empty; much to her surprise, light shot out and formed into a Poke. "Well, that was different." She stared, wondering if the luck gods somewhere were pulling her chain on purpose. Of all the things it could have been, she certainly hadn't been expecting this one. "Vuuee?" It had previously had it's back turned to them; it turned around, brown eyes burrowing into her's before glancing at the pokeball. If it could have scowled, it would have. It -did- snarl, obviously confused about what was going on. Heck, it and her both! She spoke before realizing her rather large mistake. 'Oops.' To most people, her previous 'words' would have sounded like barks, growls, and probably a few yips. Oh well, guess the meowth was out of the bag now...no turning back. The eevee had stopped growling, out of surprise, and was sitting watching them both. Brow wrinkling again, Karly promptly plopped down in front of it. 'Best get this over with...'

((Woot! X3 Heh, Karly sounds like she's got a cool foster father. It'd be neat to be raised by a Houndoom. Or by Pokemon at all for that matter.)) Alexis recoiled and watched in awe as the other woman continued to yip and bark at the Eevee. Well..uhh..That was..strange..
The strange part was, it almost seemed as though the Eevee was actually understanding her. Huh, a Pokemon Whisperer..You don't see those every day. Alexis couldn't help but wonder as to where the other female had acquired such a skill..or if it was something that could be taught. Could you imagine how useful it would be if the Rockets could command their Pokemon so easily in their own language? Subtle, but deliciously evil amd effective..((Sorry for it being so short. I didn't really know what else to write. ^^;; ))

[[You should have seen her when she first started out...she didn't like most Rockets...and everyone avoided her cuz she'd beat the snot out of them. XD Psycho and Giovanni earned Spitfire's respect, so she obeyed either one. *l*]] The eevee stared are her, obviously waiting to see what she'd do. ' Time for a show...' Karly sucked in a deep breath. "Taimatsu, right?" She half-pointed with one hand, having already placed herself cross-legged to be comfortable. Her other hand was tapping her knee, a habit she'd picked up from somewhere and never bothered to get rid of. As the eevee nodded, she slipped into her native tongue; she'd never learned any other variation besides what her foster father had taught her, which was harsh on the human vocal cords already. < I am Crystal Moon Rising, and sorry if I startled you. I did not realize that you were within that ball, so thinking it empty, I threw it. Whoever took you in before, must have left you behind. I am sorry for your loss but would you be willing to be my comrade?> That was the general translation; it was more like abject apology and asking if the eevee would become a pack brother. "Vue." It didn't take it long to think about it's answer. With utmost seriousness, it padded up and placed a paw on one of her knees. It seemed to look her over and then hop-scrambled to a spot on top of her head. "Ooph. Oh-kay...welcome to the team then, Taimatsu." She managed to stand without much worry, obviously used to this behavior from other pokemon. She coughed a bit, realizing that she sounded a bit hoarse, and checked the rack for the water bottle she'd stashed in an easy to reach spot. Taking a few small swallows, she cleared her throat again and gave Alexis a sheepish smile. "In case you're wondering, that's why I wasn't worried about going out into the wild without a Pokemon." She knew she probably looked ridiculous with Taimatsu on her head, but he was cute...and if she had her way, he'd be deadly. And maybe she'd eventually get them to send Sweetie over...the female Flareon had been an amazing compatriot for the cause.

((Haha. Nice. ^^)) Alexis blinked, still mildly dumbfounded.
"..Holy..cow..That was cool." the Rocket trainer paused for a moment, before slowly asking "..Could you teach me how to do that?..Talk to Pokemon, I mean."
Both her Growlithe and her Biaron both seemed to curiously turn and look at her, tilting their heads to the side. It must have seemed unusual for them to hear humans talking about wanting to learn Poke-speak.

Karly's face took on a serious look and she looked over at Alexis pokemon. "Well, it was hard enough learning a human language...and what I speak is a...how do they put it...dialect? It's understandable by other pokemon, but it's not their native type...you'd have to learn to understand what their saying before being able to learn to speak to them." She grimaced and pointed at Alexis's Growlith. "He'd probably be the easiest for me to teach you, as he sounds close enough to what I already speak. Mine would be harsher on the throat than his." The blue-haired woman squinted at the Biaron and then tilted her head. "Dunno 'bout the bird thou...I assume it's native to this island?" She was mildly surprised and flattered to have someone ask her to teach them something; however, she needed to let this girl know it wouldn't be an easy thing, learning to understand them. "I'm going to let you know something thou...I'll be helping, but it's really them that'll be teaching you. I can give tips and translate or correct to a certain extent, but my accents probably not that great, all things considering. If you're just wanting to be able to order them around, you'll have a tougher time of understanding anything." Karly had tried telling various Rocket trainers this many times before; very few had understood what she was getting at, though the ones that had, rose up in rank quickly and were some of the best undercover agents in Rocket. "I tend to think of those that choose to come with me as people in their own right...and treat them accordingly. There have been those I've removed from the wild population simply because they were causing trouble..." ...and who I convinced to work for TR and use that energy for a cause... "...and those eventually went to trainers who could handle them." She smiled and then placed her hands behind her head, Taimatsu's tail swishing against them. "Still up for the challenge?" [[>.>; I might post way later...]]

((Heh, this is going to be fun. X3)) Pokemon as..allies, rather than tools? Hn, well, that made things interesting. Well, then again, it was simply a change of perspective. However, if one did view their Pokemon as equals..Then..Maybe that would help both the Pokemon and the trainer to be more effective?..Well, if it meant that at the end of the day, Alexis was a successful member of Team Rocket..then the blue eyed trainer would probably do anything for the cause.
She looked down at her Growlithe for a moment, who, in turn, looked right back up at her before she looked back over at K-chan.
"Alrighty." the purple haired trainer replied. "Besides, it could be interesting to talk with Pokemon. Each one does have their own personality." And if Pokemon are really like people..then perhaps they can also be coerced to join the cause?
Blinking, she remembered the question about the Biaron. "Oh, yeah, Biaron are native to Kyuuten. Grass and Flying types." Alexis replied with a smile and then blinked upon seeing K-Chan's Eevee.
"I knew I forgot something! I'm such an idiot!" she said while hitting herself in the forehead with the heel of her palm before picking up a Pokeball and resizing it to normal size.
"Xiosius, come on out." she said before an Eevee was brought forth from the sphere in a beam of red light.
"..Vue?" he asked, blinking as his ears twitched.

[[ Indeed...XD]] Taimatsu, from his perch on her head, looked on in interest at the other eevee. "Vee?" He pricked his ears forward, wondering what the other was like. Karly glanced up as best she could, lips twitching. < If you want to play, go ahead.> She glanced back down, hazel eyes twinkling. "We can start by using what's around us...simple words, objects...then move to the harder stuff once you understand some words. By the way...I seriously doubt there'd be any high level water types this close to a starting town...I've seen locals that go out and look for the high levels in order to make it safe for travelers and tourists. So your Growlithe really shouldn't have any worries. Besides, you have two others who should be able to brush off any water-type attacks." She wasn't going to push; her tone of voice made what she said a statement. She just wanted to see the shore once; staying along it wasn't in her plans at all. Nasty sea salt air...does things to ones clothes, nevermind ones food. "All I really wanted was a peek, not to stay there." She felt a bit silly doing this, but stuck a tongue out between her teeth, as a way of showing what she thought of the ocean. Not wanting to lose momentum, she clapped her hands together and gave a rather evil grin. "So...pick something."

"I'm not too sure how far the beach is from here on Route One..But, I suppose visiting the coast wouldn't do too much harm." she replied with a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of her head.
Upon being told to pick something, the trainer looked thoughtful.
"Okay.." Alexis said before pausing and glancing about the area.
"How about 'leaf'?" she asked before gesturing to the overhead foliage from the trees which bordered the path both left and right.
Xiosius looked up at the Eevee which rested on the blue haired female's head. He slowly wagged his tail before letting out a friendly "Eee.", which appeared to be a greeting of some sort.

Taimatsu wiggled a bit and then jumped down; considering the distance, he managed it rather well. Walking up to the other eevee, he sniffed at the other a bit and then somehow managed to bend his ears to point one way then the other. "Vuee?" It was obviously a question, probably about which side they should play on. Karly nodded and looked at the Growlith. leaf for us?> She needed to hear the complete sound so she could try and make sure Alexis got the 'proununciation' right; she hoped Alexis would be paying careful attention to what she heard as well, as she'd be trying to repeat it. As for the bird Pokemon...it could add it's two cents in if it liked, but she'd probably be the only one who'd be paying close enough attention to try an immitation. [[ o.o' Short...]]

((Hey, it's all good. Unfortunately enough, I've gotten into the habit of making short posts. ^^;; )) Growlie gave a nod before simply speaking up with a "Grrowlithe."
Alexis blinked, taking note of the fact that there almost sounded like a subtle pause between the 'l' and the 'ithe' sounds.
"..Grrowlithe?" she asked, attempting to repeat the word, only to have the Puppy Pokemon look at her oddly, cocking his head to one side.
"..I said something wrong..didn't I?" she asked, sweatdropping.
Xiosius gave a nod and then quickly bounded off to the right, wagging his tail as he expected the other Eevee to follow suit since he had been asked which direction to play in.
"Vee!" he cheered happily before looking back to see if Taimatsu was following him or not.

Karly smiled. "Try that again. If it helps, become a growlith in your head and repeat as best you can." She nodded at the Growlith to let it know it could continue to try and get it's trainer to repeat the word better. "Do you mind if we walk a bit while working at this?" The woman gave a wide grin. "It'll help train your focus as well to take note of things but set them aside mentally while you work. One mustn't forget one's surroundings, but don't let them totally distract you." She pointed after the eevees. "Besides, I seriously doubt we should leave them alone by themselves for too long...there could be other trainers that will try and attack them for a capture." Taimatsu was quick enough to follow Xiosius; with a burst of speed, he caught up and gave a passing paw-pat to the other eevee. This was obviously a tag, as Tai continued past with a quick "Eeuuee!" and farther into the brush to the right of their trainers, confident that the silly humans would catch up eventually.

Xiosius blinked, having been caught offguard by the passing paw pat and then narrowed his eyes as he became playfully determined to catch up to the other Eevee, gathering all of his energy and focusing it on moving faster and catching up to Taimatsu.
"Vee!" he exclaimed as he began to gain on the other.
Alexis nodded.
"Yeah, it's probably best to keep on walking. We don't want the Eevees to get too far away from us." the Rocket trainer replied as she began to walk.
"Grrowlithe." Growlie repeated, hoping that his trainer would catch the pronunciation this time.
The purple haired woman slowly closed her eyes as she followed K-Chan's advice of attempting to become a Growlithe in mentality.
"Grrowlithe." she said before slowly opening her eyes.
"..Like that?"
