The chilly winds coming in from the jump city bay swept wistfuly across the forest colored hair of a young 13 year old boy, who sat numbly staring at a heaven full of stars over his head, some white, other topaz, and a few misty red.

It had been just a week sense Terra a once missguided member of the Teen Titans had broken free of her rock prison and come home to them.

"but what about slade," the boy asked himself quietly as he looked out over the shimmering bay.

He knew Terra would never go back, and most everyone seemed to think the evil villian dead, but they had thought this before.

"He just better not try and," Beast Boy couldn't finish, now more than ever the young boy had started to understand why Robin had been so detirmed to see Slade was brought to justice.

angrily the young changeling tossed a pebble into the air and watched it fall dissapearing into the bay.

"You just better watch out! I won't let you hurt my friends again!"

holding back a fearce tremble of anger Beast Boy turned his head slightly so Terra couldn't see his face all the way.

"ya sure i'm ok...i uh...just don't feel so well," BB lied but felt like his excuse was lame.

"I just needed some air, to ya know settle my stomach," he murmured feeling guilty.

"its no-big-deal..." he trailed off and snatched a pebble of the roof, to keep his hands busy, all the while feeling Terra's eyes on him.

"re-really," he stammered clutching the small stone harder and harder as his mind fell back into a fog of rage, "I can handle it," he said gritting his teeth, and felt the little pebble crumble in his palm from the pressure.

"I think?" he added looking into his hand surpised.

Putting his head in his hands Beast Boy gave a shudder and a sigh and shook his head no to answer her. He couldn't hide anything from her, especialy when she was being so worried about him.

"I'm sorry Terra, I lied," he said trying to bring out the heavy hearted subject that he dreaded faceing.

"my stomachs fine," he continued and drew his knees to his chest.

"I just feel so angry Terra," he started and turned a little to look her in the eyes.
"so very angry, and I can't seem to help it, but I feel like theres nothing I can do to stop him, and I want to- I have to, I can't let anything like that happen again, it hurts to much to let it, and I ..." He faultered trying to pull back his emotions and keep back the threatening tear from spilling.

It is not always easy to admit when someone is right, especialy when you are young.
Letting out some air and giveing a little smile at his friend, Beast Boy slowly reached over and petted Terra's head.

"Don't worry Terra," he quietly spoke feeling his heart beat slow down.

"I won't go looking for him........yet," he added very softly.

"He'll just have to come look'm for me," BB teased trying to make a joke, but his heart really wasn't in it.
True Terra had told him that she didn't want him to feel responsible, but how could he not feel responsible ??

Terra was his team mate and friend, he cared alot about her, and he couldn't help but feel as if some how he had let her down in the past.

He didn't want that to happen again, not to Terra not to any of his Team mates, and if that ment takeing care of Slade once and for all he would do it.

Beast Boy suddenly felt worried,

"Oh Terra," he blushed, "please don't cry, I didn't mean to make you cry," he felt a bit stupid for upsetting his friend, and dumbly searched for a tissue.

"I promise, I won't get hurt, as long as you promise to not try and heandle any of this alone." he tried to smile and handed her a tissue.

"Robins always saying we can't do these things alone, we have to stick together. forever." BB eyes lowered and he reached over to hold Terras hand.

It startled the young Titan at first to hear Terra say things like that, but it didn't take him long to relax, and he gentley leaned his head resting it ontop of hers.

"this isn't your fault," he sofly said, and reached his free hand and stroked her silky blond hair.

"this is Slades fault," he gave a sigh and kissed the top of Terras head in a gentlemanly style.

"he is to blame, not you, for his evil actions, please don't ever forget that."

Beast Boy smiled at Terra, how could he not like her,

"would you not like me if some one came and told me a lie, but i believed it cuz i thought it was true, and then found out later i was lied to, and so I changed and did the right thing, and saved all of Jump City and my friends?"
Beast Boy gave a soft smile, and kissed Terra's hand, "your our friend, you choice to do the right thing, even though it ment giveing up your life," Beast Boy cocked his head in a curious mannor as if to say you wereeally brave, i admire that.

Beast Boy looked as if he had been smacked by the cupid, and he had a shocked expression, he really had not expected Terra to kiss him, but he was glad that he believed what he was saying, because in his heart he knew it was true.

"T-Terra," he bashfuly smiled still holding her hand, "could I return the kiss?" he asked rubbing nervously at the back of his neck.
