This is for anyone who like's or doesn't like what Steven Harper ir doing for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, making commitments in other areas, and anything to do with the environment.

I'd like to say that he should be aiming at reducing emmissions SOON, because the way things are going he has little chance of getting re-elected, and the liberals will go back in.

I'm not supporting a certain party, I just want Canada to be green, and proud of it. I want us to be able to brag about something other than hockey that we've accomplished in this century. All our pride comes from the past. Why not make something new to be known for, and feel good about it at the same time, knowing you are helping the planet?

I'd like to hear everyone's views.
For the Americans who care anyways: Liberals are similar to democrats, conservatives are more like republicans, and the NDP (New democratic party) are the guys who want clean air, good jobs, public health care, and many other things I agree with, but they never come close to winning an election.

lol NDP is like a mixture of the communist/green party, I think North America is doing pretty good on an enviromental scale Canada definitley more than the U.S. but its all for naught since China is a huge and growing source of pollution and doesnt have the economic means to convert to an energy efficent, enviromental friendly system

thats what I thought, but apparently Canada is the biggest polluter per capita in the world or something like that. We just have so many less people, so it doesn't seem like it.
