I don't know if this is widely-known, but I think it's worth mentioning. KoL has a very hard, fast rule about multis (meaning, different characters owned by the same person) NOT interacting at all. This means that you can't pass meat and items between multis (except in two special cases mentioned below).

You might think, "Oh well, they'll never notice," but they do! They are constantly watching what things go back and forth between characters, and they perma-ban anyone they feel is doing this, no questions asked. So if you value your characters, don't do it. They mostly do this for people who really abuse the system, but who knows what constitutes enough abuse to warrant a ban?

This means, for example, if you have some million-meat item that you want to buy, you can't have three of your own characters send another of your characters meat to buy it -- that character must make all the meat himself. Another example... if your main character is collecting green pixels, don't have your other characters send him green pixels -- gather/buy them only with the main character.

The two special cases:

1) Any Mr. Store item that you personally bought with your own real money (you bought the Mr. As with real money and used them to buy the Mr. Store item) can be freely passed between your characters. This doesn't apply to Mr. Store items you bought with meat, or you bought with Mr. As you bought from the mall with meat.

2) If you have a hardcore-only character, you can create a "mall multi." There's a bunch of rules of how to create one which I won't repeat here, but the gist is that these two characters can pass items back and forth -- the mall multi runs a mall shop for the hardcore character (who can't really access his shop while in hardcore) and doesn't do anything else (no adventuring). Sorry for all the long info -- whenever I see anyone with more than one character, I get nervous that they don't know the multi rules. I don't want anyone to lose their characters.

Actually, it's pretty cut and dried what's considered multiabuse -- any passing of items/meat between your own multis.

Put it this way: I was collecting certain items on my main during Crimbo and I wrote to Multiczar asking if it was ok if I collected items with the other multis and passed them to my main, as long as I paid the multis for the items at higher than the going mall price. He said no, no passing of items/meat was allowed.

Very few people follow that rule. Even Jick has multis. However, I do congratulate you for following rules that a lot of people don't follow.
