"Watch it!" Sarah snapped as the scientist shoved a needle into her butt. Shifting around in her cage, she made sure to give him a hard time getting the sample that he needed of her spray. "Do you always have to do this?" the scientist said, wiping off the sweat on his brow and letting go of the needle still inserted in Sarah. "As long as your sticking stuff in my butt, yes!" Sarah replied, trying to pluck the needle out. "Ouch!" she yelped in pain as she accidently twisted the needle sideways apon hiting the cage bar against it. "I told you, its not you butt its you scent glands.", he lecured scratching his head at the predicament she had gotten herself into, "You give me the sample and I'll help you out." Turning around in the cramped cage, she managed get one black paw twisted in her other black paw and when she fell on her face she finally gave in. "grr... fine." she lifted her black striped tail purposefuly in front of his face and sprayed into the test tube. "Was that so hard?" the scientist said and yanked the needle out. "Gaah!" Sarah gasped from the sting of the needle leaving. "Ouch! Did you have to do it so hard, Mike?" Sarah said, rubbing the mark left by the needle, "its gonna leave a bruise!" Mike nodded, "as long as you put up a fight!" he answered, untwisted Sarah, and then left into the back room.

Sarah watched him leave before she settled down. Yeah, she's a skunk, for as long as she could remember she'd lived in the Lab and been a skunk. It didn't bother her as much as she showed sometimes. She'd gotten used to the anoying scientists always bothering her for things, but she didn't want them getting used to her because that makes things boring. It was kinda fun teasing them and fighting like there's no tomorrow. She let out a laugh "I won't let him get away with it next time!" she announced so all the other animal/people could hear.

"Yeah...well." Sarah didn't have to finish. The raven was already gone. "birds... think they're so smart." she said mockingly. She was itching be be let out and into her side room. Pacing back and forth, "Lemme out of here!" she yelled, but the scientists were already gone so she took it apon herself to get out. She leaned forward to take a closer look at the numerous locks that hang on the metal bars. Every couple of months they had to switch the locks or add new ones because of her many breakouts. She never caused damage, but it was a nucience to get her back to her cage.

She stared at the first lock. A simple circular metal lock that needed a key. Effortlessly she slid her claw into it and fingered around till it poped. Smiling she went onto the next. It was a combanation lock. Sarah scowled, these tend to stump her so instead of trying to figure out the code she just ripped out all the number dials till she could see the gears and poked at it til it popped too. She twitched her tail in amusement. The last lock was a simple twist dial. Over confident she began twisting it slowly. Though she could see the numbers easily, the click from the inside echoed in her brain at every point till it finally poped. The cage door swung open and she stepped out.

Sarah shuffled out of her cage and into one of the many rooms in the labrenth of a hallway. As she entered the lights dimed and she grew used to the dark. But how did the lights dim by themselves? She glanced around but it was a furtive effort; she couldn't hear or smell anyone so she continued on her way. She saw the dirt and trees around her all brought into the building just for her and smiled. Why they never let her just go outside, she thought that she would never know. She ranked her claws along the tree bark and began to climb. Swiftly and quietly she scaled the tree and sat on top. Suddenly, the room became bright again and it blinded Sarah a bit as she struggled to keep her balance on the tree branch. Straining her eyes against the bright glare of the lights she saw them. A large mass of scientists all celebrating behind a glass on the far wall. "huh?" she said in suprise. "...#00591 a success." she heard one say. "...it'll fare well..." and it hit her. It was all a test that the scientists had tricked her into. All her breakouts, toning her skills, it had all been devised so that they could complete their mission. Feeling lost and confused, she ran from the room and down the hall. The scientists chased after her, afraid that she would excape. "Leave me alone, all of you!" she turned and shouted, but they kept coming because they were afraid to loose their precious project. "Stop!" she screamed with tears welling in her eyes as she bent over and lifted her tail. They turned to run, but it was too late. The gas had paralized them all. Afraid tht more would come, Sarah ducked into a side roo that was rarely used and hid in a cabnet.

Crawling through the air conditioning system, Bass sniffed around the air ducts to see if he could find the testing labs. He stopped for a moment to lift his bandana from his eyes to see where he was. The whole system was changed around since his escape...this was proving to be a little more difficult then before. "Where the hell are those test labs?"

He had continued through the maze known as Laboritory facilities when he cought a scent he regognized, "Sarah?" He started to dash down the scent that he was graced to find. Hw was led to a small room with not much worth mentioning in it, but this is where the trail stopped. Punching down on the air vent, Bass sent it flying to the ground and dropped down into the. His plan was coming together. "Sarah..." he started to say lowly knowing that she would be able to hear him, "Sarah, it's me....Bass," He walked over to the door that lead out into the hall and say that no one was coming at teh moment, "I've come to get you, and all the others out of this hell hole."

Sarah was sobbing softly in the cabnet till she heard a sound coming from above her and froze. It came from the next room, then somehow crossed over to the room that she was in. God don't let those scientists find me! She heard something metal clatter and then something landed on the other side of the room. Afraid of what was to come, Sarah closed her eyes and pushed even further into the cabnet. Then she heard a voice call her name. It sounded oddly farmilar so she took a peak out. Seeing her old pall she dived on top of him, knocking him over, squealing "Bass!". Rubbing him all over with her tail, she lifted his bandana, looked deep into his knowing eyes and said "I thought you were dead!" Lying on the ground, she savored the moment and gave him a tight hug.

"No, but that means that my plan worked so far," he started to say as he pulled out an ID card that had the name, 'Kevin Striker' on it, "Cause, he didn't know I was still alive either." He sat up and helped Sarah to a sitting position infront of him, "I wanted them to think I was dead so that I can come back and get you all out." He got up and started sniffing the air, it seemed that something had caught his attention as he crawled over to the door and took a look out, "We have to get a move on though, the scientist are coming back," He looked around the room to see what they could do and got an idea," he started as he quickly leaped over to the babinet that she was hiding in and pushed it to where the open air vent was, "you go up first and then I'll pass you the vent cover, then I'll follow kick over the cabinet and seal the vent." It sounded like a good idea to him atleast.

seeing the two exit, loralea's face drops. she sinks to the bottom of the tank, knowing that if she is to escap, she will have to getthrough the electic current... adn if it doesnt kill her, she will need all the strength that she can get to make it through the vents that bass and sarah had exited through. "god, i hope the come back," she mouths, knowing that she is mute underwater.
