-Flames Rekindled-
-Unbridled Hatred; Sin of the Gods-

Lyrion Dante Fatum drew the short dirk without hesitation. He held the small blade up menacingly, pointed at the other figure, his crimson eyes glaring sharply in the darkness, but his pursuer did not falter. He figured, though, however hard he tried to strike the much older man, he could not.
“Boy.” His harsh voice said demandingly. “Put that blade away and step up to me. I am your father. You will listen without resistance.”
“A Father to me!?” The boy’s somewhat high-pitched voice cried. “You’re no such thing!” He said. Lyrion’s father stepped forward, and took him by the arm.
“Boy, you will be punished gravely.” He jerked the child forward, and he came, stepped into the light. Lyrion grimaced.
The young boy’s white, short, pristine hair shone like platinum in the pale pool of moonlight. His red eyes squinted slightly as he looked up at the gruff figure, tall and lean, muscular and powerful.
“You’re more trouble than you’re worth.” He spoke, sounding just as gruff as he looked. He tugged the eight-year-old to walk along with him out of the dark alley, yet Lyrion did not come. The boy held his ground, planted his feet, and dug them into the semi-hard dirt.
“I’m… Not… Coming… With… You.” Lyrion spoke in fragmented sentences, his head drooping, watching the ground.
“What? You still defy me?” His father looked at him questioningly, his brown beard and moustache pale in the equally pale light. His neck-length brown hair swayed in a gentle breeze.
“Kill me if you want!” Lyrion looked up, his eyes lit aflame with rage. “I’m not going back with you!” He retorted defiantly. His father shook his head and threw Lyrion Dante Fatum, his very blood son, to the ground. He snatched the long dagger from Ly, and then held it to his throat.
“Do not resist me. I will kill you here and now, boy, if you wish it.” His father, Lucifer Vehementi Fatum pressed the blade harder to the child’s throat. Lyrion made no movement. His eyes were closed.
Finally, after what seemed to be quite some time, Ly spoke.
“Tell me one thing, father.” He said, softly, quietly. This was the first time in so long that Lyrion had referred to Lucifer as his father. “How would you react if I bested you here?” The boy asked, suddenly taking his right hand into the air, which was not hindered by his father’s vice grip. A dark force enveloped it, and he thrust it into the muscular chest of his father. Lyrion watched as he leapt backwards, shrieked in pain, and fell to his knees, then his face. Lyrion stepped around him.
He was not dead. No, no. That would be much harder.

(Let's get this party starteedd~)

His feet pounded against the pavement. The hell spawns would be right behind him, he knew it, so he would not look. Yet he did, as he always did.
His head turned to just catch a mere glimpse, and there was nothing behind him.
Not the slightest sign of an enemy.
The young man's heart beat slowed as he came to a walk, and wiped some sweat from his brow with a black sleeve. With the same motion, he brushed aside a lock of silver hair from his crimson eyes.
"Haha. I'm almost out of here. Easier than I thought it'd be. Father's losing his touch, then. Probably exhausted with dealing with me."
Lyrion Dante Fatum gave a laugh. A spiteful, happy laugh. He rounded his final corner. The exit was there. No problem. Not one in the world.
Well, not quite.
"What the hell? Damn!" The youth muttered more curses under his breath as he slid back behind the wall before any eyes caught him. There, at the only exit to the city, were all of the amassed forces to be had. In this town, anyways. The authorities, as well as any sellswords wishing for a large bounty. "Well, here we go..."
Lyrion spun out from behind the building in the narrow alley. He dashed, came out into the open, breathing hard, and stood there, staring down the entire force; Lucifer's Son was not intimidated.
Well, actually, he was.
"Hello! Hello! Yes, yes, I'm the one you were looking for." He grinned.
Well, I'm in trouble. Ah, well, kill them all if I must.
His off-white pants were not pristine as opposed to his silvery platinum hair in the sunlight, and his black, golden-trimmed shirt made him seem as though he were royalty. Lyrion's perfect complexion was smooth as ever as he stood there calmly, waiting for a soldier to come for him.
A plan. A plan.
I need a plan.

For a moment, if one was in the vacinity of where the angel was flying, one would notice that the sun's light had been momentarily blocked by something, for a shadow had suddenly fallen upon those that lay under the angel's image at the time. If anyone was curious at what might have caused the sudden block of the sun's rays, whether it being one of the hell spawns or Lucifer's son, Lyrion Dante Fatum, one would see only an outline of the angel, darting across the sky. Of course, the angel, who went by the name of Lenteryin, would have noticed the large amount of devil spawns glaring down upon his leader below. And, upon seeing it, the angel would most likely come to the conclusion that he would need help and therefore come to his aid. Well, that was exactly the Lenteryin's intentions as soon as he had spotted the scenerio below him.

With a single flap of his ice blue wings, the angel, who had ended his movement by that action, fell from the sky gracefully, landing beside Lyrion softly, as if he had only taken a small leap in front of him. As soon as his feet had met the ground, the angel turned to him, a small grin spread across his soft graceful face. "It seems as though you have gotten yourself in a little bit of a mess. If I may be so bold, I was wondering if you needed my assistance. Of course, if you so desire, you can take on the scum on your own..." The angel chuckled, his eyes slowly turning so that the creatures before them were now in his line of vision. "However, if that was your wish, I would highly recommend that you rethink that plan, for, there are many and even you would have a problem fighting them all on your own."

As the angel spoke, three of the demon spawns lept forth from the group to attack the two who had so foolishly stood up against them. As their images neared them, the angel spoke quickly as he took out his bow, soon slipping an arrow into its quiver. "I hope you will allow me to, for if you do not wish me to help, then I have just undertaken an action against your will... forgive me..." And with that final word, the angel released the arrow, sending it straight into one of the creatures, causing it to disperse into the air. But the angel did not stop there. With his free hand, the angel took out his Dirk and, while still in the same motion, twirled in such a way so that his blade came across the second creature's chest. And, like the first, the demon spawn's body disappeared once the dirk made contact wtih its body...

[[ You knew I was going to to this, Broffs. <3 ]]

Pressing lightly through the crowds, slipping her small body through the spaces between people was the young Natalia Angelus Servenoire. Her blue eyes darted about the large gathering of bodies, not entirely sure what it was they were all together for. However, whatever it was, it was enough to draw her attention as well. Pausing to overhear two larger men before her, whispering, she decided to be her usual 'nosy' self.

"I 'eard 'e's faster than a blink of yer eye." The one of the left said. On the shoulder of his jacket, he bore the symbol of a small bounty-hunting clan. Natalia was quick to recognize it, as they held quite a bit of prestige in the city... at least, as much prestige as possible for bounty-hunters. "'e fetches a pretty price, tho'." The man added. Natalia's eyes then fell upon one of the two blades that were hanging at his waist. They were large and deadly, certainly not weapons for practice or play. Apparently someone dangerous was coming their way, as it had caught not only the attention of the authorities, but the bounty hunters as well. The curious youth pressed on so that she could get a good look...

Emerging to the front of the crowd, the thought of danger never even crossed the young woman's mind. Her eyes darted around the area in front of the mass of people as she watched. The others, however, didn't seem so attentive. As if when their target showed up, they wouldn't have to be watching- that it would be obvious.

Suddenly, from the shadows around a corner, she watched as a young man, maybe a year or two older than she, emerged. He had a nervous air about him, yet at the same time a strange confidence. No doubt this was the one they were waiting for. It was obvious in the way that their casual state soon echoed her own attentive one.
'Is he mad?' She wondered, tilting her head ever so slightly as she looked at him. 'Half of the city is here, plus other assassins it would seem. He stands out in the open willingly...' Raising a light-coloured brow, Natalia observed, her curiosity being somewhat satisfied.

Her blue eyes fell upon another being shortly thereafter, though she didn't have quite enough time to analyze their situation, as whatever appeared to be chasing them came from the shadows shortly after the cocky male had. She watched, more than fascinated, as the demonic beings continued to throw themselves violently at the two men in the street. In simply watching one of them react, the slight realization of what her city was facing hit Natalia.

(Awww, seestar. <3)

"Oh, Len, you could not have shown up at a better time. Please, please, go ahead, kill them." Ly smiled at his Angelic companion and gestured towards the hell spawns. He drew his rapier and stepped forward in the street as Lentaryin fended off the rather weak pawns.

"Hello." He said rather loudly, brandishing his rapier in his right hand, though it stayed at his side. Lyrion's platinum shone nicely in the sun, but his crimson eyes glared fiercely at the small... Army, he would call it. "T'would seem my companion and I are quite outnumbered. That's unfortunate, but..."
A plan would be very good about now... Oh, and what's this?

Ly's bright red eyes caught the blue orb of a rather (he admitted) attractive young woman. He smiled rather devilishly and rushed forward with inhumane speed.
Within the blink of an eye, the youth was behind the stranger. The tip of his rapier was held to her throat, and his other arm wrapped around her stomach to keep her from running.
"Hello, miss. I'm terribly sorry, but you see, this must be done. Step with me, now."
As Lyrion spoke, his feet began to move, and he pulled the woman with him.
"Lentaryin! Hurry up! We're taking leave." He shouted backwards, not wanting to leave his companion with the rather large group of soldiers and assassins.

At least something was going right today. Kind of.

The angel stared at his companion in disbelief as soon as he noticed Lyrion's rapier pressed against a young girl's neck. At first, the angel had believed that his companion was putting together a plan that would aid them in the battle. However, it soon became very apparent as soon as he had unleashed his weapon upon the girl that those were not his intentions. What was he thinking? Had he gone completely mad? It was almost as if he had forgotten the spawns and suddenly became an agent of evil. In confusion, Lentaryin continued to look upon the scene with much uncertainty as the demon spawns began to close in on them. However, instead of taking notice to them, the angel stayed completely unaware of the situation almost as if they themselves did not exist. If one lunged at him, or even tried to attack him, Lentaryin just lifted his one of his blue crystalized wings and swung it at the creature, sending it flying back into the horde of its companions. "Lyrion... what could you be thinking?"

Not only was he acting out of line, but he was disrupting the life of those that were not involved. However, could there be a method behind his actions that he could not understand? That had to be the answer. There had to be no other solution, for Lyrion would never hurt one that was either not against them or was neutral... or, he believed or would liked to believe that he wouldn't do such a thing. As the angel continued to stare, trying to analyze his commander's thoughts, an idea came to mind: he was using the girl as a distraction so that they would be able to escape from both the demon spawns and the assassins (who no doubt were gathered to try and kill Lyrion, since he was in fact, greatly wanted which would explain the large bounty on his head.) Nodding, the angel spread his wings and shot into the sky, his image beginning to fade as clouds began to engulf his image. Lyrion, what are you doing?

Once his image had reached the peek of its ascention, the angel wrapped his wings around his figure, allowing it to plummet to the ground. But, as soon as his figure broke the clouds, he stretched out his wings, ending his descent and throwing him into a glide. As he flew over the land, the angel caught sight of his comrade and (much as he had anticipated) was still holding the girl. "What the hell are you planning?" Said the angel outloud as he began to lower himself so that he could closer to his leader. Was there something about the girl that he himself had missed? Was she a creature that would be able to aid them in their battle against Lyrion's father? It was quite possible, for he was never wrong about those that had the ability to do so. But why had he approached her in such a way. However, when one considered the circumstance, there was no other way. And if she did possess great power, then that would only drive him more to his goal, which was to make her apart of his army.

It was then that shame began to pour over the angel, as he continued to descend from the sky. He had doubted his master and even delayed in following an order because of his doubt, even after everything he had done for him. Never in the past had Lyrion been wrong or had he done anything false. Why had he suspected him now, of all times? Shaking his head, Lentaryien blocked out his thoughts, not wanting to think of such things or dwell on such negative outlooks. Lyrion was his master, leader, comrade and, most of all, friend. He would never do anything that would jeapardize the mission nor would he stray from his path in the Light... his enemy was his very own father... there was no way that he would be able to. If anyone was not to be trusted, it would be him, for his doubt and paranoia...
