Okay so we have been quite a long time without a banner and I think it’s about to time get one. Unfortunately I have not experience in that sort of thing and I’m afraid it would look horrible if I even attempted such a creation. So! We have a little over 2K in the guild fund if I needed to pay someone to make us a banner. But before this happens we need some ideas of what we would like.
Topics to discus
- do we want to make our own banner or have someone else do it
- what do we want our banner to look like

Really? Who is the person? The banner is the one that everyone sees at first, right? The little sliver of picture?
Since it has to have a good impression, it shouldn't be the guild logo, because that's too bland. It also shouldn't be just a picture of a cross stitch work, because people sometimes think it's to grandma-ish. It should have some spunk...

I have no clue!! crying I was never the imaginative type to come up with something. Do we get a moving banner or a still one? I vote for a moving one. You could put in two things at a time. Like "like to stitch?" and next to it a cross stitch piece. The next... wait,wait. Am I thinking of the right thing?

lol its more than I've got. i don't even have a clue were to get started. any other ideas

Hm.... Maybe pixel art, then cross stitch? Could take a screencap of Sora and say, "Turn this..." and then the infamous Sora photo with, "...into this!" whee

mmm but i dont think we could fit much of Sora on there. Maybe just part of his face or something.
those are both good ideas. but usually the banner is just the guild name. I like both your ideas but they both sound like cool siggys to.
i have been looking at other guilds banners for ideas and most often its the guild name and if they are moving its ether something in the background or different fonts of the name.

Then our guild name on the background of Sora, you know his head, maximized so people see that he's cross stitched. And maybe the background will change into another cross stitched piece, but just a fragment.

okay so i messed around with it and this is what i got. this doesn't have to be it its justs a trial. i'm not to fond of the the letters frame but i'm not that good with the background for it.  i tried putting the words over the pictures but it looked really bad. EDIT: i just had an idea. i could cross-stitch Gaia's Official Cross Stitch Guild and scan it into my computer and use that instead of the lettering. that way it would all be cross-stitch

it looks good as it is, but you could try the other letters, to see if it looks better
if it's not to much of a hassle for you

i just recently had a computer crash so i lost all my cool fonts i had. that was the only not crappy one and its really not that cool.
