Hiya
As you are aware the 'friends@gaia' system with PMs has been disabled, for how long I don't know, so this will be a problem when messaging you guys.
As there is quite a number of you it would be too difficult and time consuming to send a PM to each and every one of you (I will do so if there was a serious problem with the Guild that you all need to know).
Do keep an eye on the 'Updates' section in the Welcome to the Egyptology Guild thread in compensation for not being PMed. If it has been updated it will say [UPDATED] and will stay there for a week.

Good to know! I wonder if you could keep the Update alert in the title, and add the date of the last update? "Updated 1-11-07," for instance? I don't get onto the guilds every week, and I'd hate to miss something important!
Hope the PM system is back online soon!^_^
