Notre Dame vs. Michigan, USC, Michigan State, Boston Collage, Stanford.
Notre Lame v. Michigan: Massacre compliments of Michigan
Notre Lame v. USC: Massacre compliments of the Trojans
Notre Lame v. Michigan State: Lucky collapse by the Spartans
Notre Lame v. Boston College (never heard of Boston Collage myself
wink ): So what?
Notre Lame v. Stanford: Win! But you have to qualify it since Stanford was the worst team in the Pac-10 and has been for three years and still is
And here's one for fun:
Notre Lame v. UCLA: Lucky collapse by the bRUINs
Notre Lame's rivalries with all the above are no greater rivalries than theirs with the service academies, as, by definition, rivalries should involve RIVALS, and Notre Lame just doesn't rival the football prowess of its counterparts. It gets by on tradition and tradition alone. Quinn had flashes of brilliance. Samardzija had amazing hands--but he's using them on the mound now. And so on. I don't think Notre Lame has a chance of anything other than ekeing by on its past presence until little Pos (I'm still confused why he didn't follow his brother's footsteps to Penn State
sad ) is a junior or senior. I'm not saying this out of spite for Notre Lame, rather out of pure objective observance.
