okay i got to the mission "amongst the enemy"i got katara and now im stuck at the jailer.how the heck do i beat or even damage him!!!

what system are you playing it on? It's different, depending on the version.
Ds, you just need to blast him, hard. either use Aang or Katara and use aang's air blast or katara's normal attack. And run away. simple hit-and-run tactics.
For GBA, you need to airblast the red bombs back at him.
I haven't played any other versions yet...

Uhm, on the gamecube, I just kept hitting him a bunch of times, and eventually he would kneel, that's when you run up and hit him alot! then you start over agian, till his health runs out...
DON'T FORGET TO USE YOUR HEALTH POTIONS!

For Xbox I keep running around in circles intill he tires himself out then I wack at him then repeat.
