"Its a long way from here to this hotelyou know. About two hour. Can you last?" asked Matt.
"Why couldnt I.? I have you. Huh?"Ashley said and she kissed him.
"Good point. Just you and me remember?"Matt said.
"Yeah. So what did you do when you moved away?"asked Ashley.
"Nine yers ago? We went two towns away. I always thought about you. It almost killed me to stay away.My parents wouldnt let me though. But i had to see you again. So i brough you here, on this ,type,of job." Matt had said.
"Oh. I thought you just didnt like me anymore. You didnt write or anything. Or you did? But i love you." Ashley said.
"I love you ," said Matt,"and now were here."
They pulled up to the doors. Shut down the car. Got there things and walked in.
"Now remember theres no one here but us." Matt said.

They walked to the desk. A ring of keys was on the table. They took it and went to room C37 on the mid floor. It had a built in bathroom and kitchen that was just a couple minutes down the hall. It wasnt the biggest place , but enough room. They opened the door and put ther thngs in the room.
"Matt, im going to look around, alright?" asked Ashley.
"Alright . But be back in an hour."He said.
"I will ill bring up dinner with me."said Ashley and she walked out of the room.
She went down the hall to the master dining room. Then, she went to the report room with the only telephone. She memorized her way to the room and where she went. She couldn't ventur much loger so she went to kitchen. There was a lot of food to eat. She just grabbed some chicken, put in the microwave and made here way back to room. As she was walking back she noticed one of the rooms door open.
"Huh? Matt must have been in there," said Ashley,"Matt i'm back," Ashley said as she walked into the room,"Hey did you open a room a coulple of rooms down?" she asked.
"Um no. why?" Matt asked as he walked out of the bathroom.
"Just wondering. Then the workers must have left it open as they left."She whispered to herself.
"Hey i got some chicken. Just the first thing in mind." said Ashley.
"Nice. Thanks. I love you." said Matt and kissed her.
"Wuv you." said Ashley.
"Good because...." said Matt.
"Oh another kiss?" said Ashley.
"Yes." They kissed again.
They shoved the chicken into ther mouths. Getting grease everywhere.
"So. Where are the keys?" asked Ashley.
"In your bag. You know, i didn't know about comeing here. Not with you, but in general. You know, because in horror movies, like The Shineing, something always happens. But, because you wanted to go to, I did." Matt said
"Awwww. Your scared. Well we'll have to change that." said Ashley.
Just as they were about to kiss a noise was made outside the door.
"What was that?" asked Ashley.
"I don't know lets see." said Matt.
They opened the door and rags and bottles were all over the floor, and a maid cart next to the door.
"Thats funny, never saw that there before. A rat must have got on the cart." said Matt.
"Probabley. But that wasn't here.I just didn't notice. It must have been there. We were just so anxious to get in our room." said Ashley.
"We can get it later. Lets go back in the room and finish dinner." said Matt.
"Sure." said Ashley.
They went back into the room.Ate the rest of the chicken and went venturing. Matt went to the left, Ashley right.
They agreed to be back to the room at ten. And then go to bed.
Matt walked the halls but didn't notice Ashley go into the open room down the halls.
"Well the beds are made and no lights on. The workers left it open then." Ashley said to herself.
Ashley shut the door and went back to the room. She would just wait for Matt. She sat on the bed and slept.
"Hey. Did you just get back?" asked Matt.
"No. I went down the hall and decided to come backand wait for you." answered Ashley.
"Cool lets go to bed." said Matt.
"Yeah." she said.
They laid in the bed and pulled up the covers and shut out the lights.
They woke up around six. Ashley went back to the kitchen. She made some cereal and on her way back the door to the other room was opened again.
"Matt. Were you in this room again?'" screamed Ashley.
"No, is it opened again?' asked Matt.
"Yeah. I must not have shut it all the way. Do you have the key. I'll lock it." asked Ashley.
"Yeah here." Matt said and tossed her the keys.
"Thanks." she replied.
"No prob" Matt said while he walked out the room.
Ashley picked up the keys, put one in the hole, and it locked. It made a click as the lock turned.
"There. Now it won't open again," she said to herself, "hopefully."
She walked away from the door, down the hall.
"Now, i'll go to the commons." she quietly said to herself.
She sat just in and a chair and didn't do anything. Thinking about how the door opened again. So she went back to the room and sat outside it. She sat for a good hour or so.
She looked at it for awhile. Then, she looked down the hall and saw Matt walking toward her.
"Ashley, hey how are you doing?': he asked.
"Fine, why?" she said.
"No reason. Just-- never mind. But listen could you leave this door open? It'll be creepy if it opens by itself again. So we know you opened it. Not something. Would that be okay?" asked Matt.
"Sure. If you want. But why exactly would you want it? Unlocked or just open the door?" she asked him.
"Open it, cause you shut it before right, and opened. I just don't want to be freaked out." he told her.
"Okay" she replied.
Ashley got up, unlocked the door, and opened it.
"Oh and Ashley i wanted to ask you. Do you trust me. No matter what i do wrong you'll love me?" he asked.
"Yeah Matt. I...i...i would," she said," why?".
"No reason. But lets not talk of this again." he said and gave her a romantic kiss, and he walked away, turned the corner and she onlt saw him when he came back to go to bed.
"Night i... love you." said Ashley.
"Love you too.Night." Matt replied
The lamp went out with a click.
