Honsetly, lately I've had the worst case of writer's block. I can hardly string two sentences together. So, if anyone has some suggestions it would be most appreciated!

I wish I knew. I have a lot of ideas, plot bunnies of assorted usefulness, and great daydreams that would probably make pretty cool fics...
... but could I get them on paper over vacation?
Noooo. sweatdrop

Try to relax a bit. Or, just not really think about writing. That's what I do when I can't write at least. Does that help you at all?

When I get writer's block, I just stop writing completely for two or three months. Usually, after that while, I get an idea or two back.

when the creative spell is there its great, and then when its not it sucks. I know I get reinspired when I hear a new song that just moves me, or makes me see the right images in my head.

When I get writer's block I ususally go off to something else... or write a different part of that same story. ^^;

I usually pick up a manga/dvd of the fandom and reread/watch it. Although I've found the best cure - for me at least - is to call up a friend who likes the same thing and brainstorm back and forth with them; the direct input really helps.

Something that always helps me is reading the story again, finding some new viewpoint. Listening to music helps a lot too(although it just inspires song-fics*sigh*)
You could also try reading a couple of fanfics on Luna. It gets a person's brain jogging to all the possiblities...

Depending on what you like, I try not to think about it too much and just... do whatever for a couple of weeks. Then if I'm watching a movie or hearing something from a book or from the news (yeah, reality surpasses fiction) then I'm like "oh! that fits in my story!" and I keep writing...
Of course, there are always the "transition chapters" where you're stuck because you don't know what to write to get from point A in the story to point B even though you have ideas... that-- is just plain evil. sweatdrop

I watch or read the anime/manga/whatever and lay down to think about how I would change the story line....Sometimes I think of the best ideas when I nap (I have a notebook close to the bed) 4laugh

Thumping my head on the table usually works for me. in particually bad cases, however, I find thumping my head on a table until I get a headache and then searching for the asprin particually useful. by the time I've found the non-existant asprin(i.e: paracetamol, as we have no asprin) I've generally come up with something.

I usually read someone else's work and try to avoid thinking about it. Any other time I just start another story although that usually leads to unfinnished fanfics sweatdrop

Any other time I just start another story although that usually leads to unfinnished fanfics sweatdrop Hehe, I have unfinished fics because of that same problem. My advice is to start asking your friends to brainstorm with you (the intelligent friends who don't throw out stupid ideas, and the ones that probably write also) then when you brainstorm for a little while start writing down different ways the story can go depending on that brainstorm. Also, you don't have to use a friend, you can brainstorm by yourself if you like. I find that writing at least three different versions of a story can help, because one of them can get the creative juices flowing again. When that happens, just stick to the story version you have created. Also, I get writer's block sometimes because I think of the end of the story after I've started the beginning, then I start working on how it should end but not how to get it that way, so I have the beginning and the end but no middle.
