ok, this stuff is kind of personal im about to put. my dad is 70 years old(dont ask just read), and suffers from heart trouble. today he told me that his pulse has been jumping around the high 40's/low 50's to as high as the hundreds(its only supposed to be about 70-75 for his age). i gotta face it, my dad doesnt have very long left. part of the reason ive been keeping it a secret about me being agnostic is because my dad constantly stresses that "I want to be in heaven with my son". if he found out im agnostic 1. hed spend whats left of his life worrying about me and 2. the stress from knowing that would be dangerous to his health because my dad tends to react to things strongly. im kind of pissed now for 2 reasons. my dad told me my mom called him and told him that im having "problems" with religion, and that i dont really know what i believe when it comes to religion. that pisses me off, because she doesnt know that i know EXACTLY what i believe, that i have believed it for over a year, and believe very strongly in it. wanna know something else? according to my dad my moms whole ******** church is praying for me. my dads in denial of what my mom told him thankfully. i just got off the phone with him, and i just told him "well, i just dont really talk about it so thats why my mom thinks that." also, whenever my brother or my mom uses the bible as a reference it instantly silences me because i cant say anything because if i said what i wanted to my dad would be a wreck. because i know my mom thinks i dont know what i believe, my dad is the only reason i just dont say ******** it all and tell my mom im agnostic and how long i have been and go on a huge ******** rant. that way when my brother says "animals deserve to die because thats why god put them here" i can say "i dont care." or when he says its wrong to be gay i can again say "i dont care"... ugh, frustrating...
