What's your opinion on the dubbed version of Prince of Tennis since it's now officially on Cartoon Network.
I really don't like it DX They ruined the opening (which seems to happen a lot thanks to them) and the voices just sound...really off to me. It might be because I've watched the entire series in Japanese; I know a lot of people stick to what they hear first because that sounds more right to them.
Did anyone else bother to check it out or not going to touch it with a ten foot pole?

Oh, god. Sakuno... Well, I never really liked her even when I was watching the Japanese version, and now her voice is like, killing me. I dislike her even more.
And Sumire, isn't she supposed to be old? What happened to that? My god, I swear, it was pretty bad. I didn't think that they can ruin the show to that level.

It could have been worse...can't think of anything but I'm trying to be optomistic.
They guys were okay, I guess. Ryoma's is acctually good because it still has the hack-care feeling.
Iono about Fuji's but even though it's deeper/less feminine, it still is okay.
Kikumaru's isn't the fun hyper voice anymore... crying
Inui...eh...
Takashi I have yet o hear.
Momo-chan is something you get used to after a little
Tezuka needs to get a new voice actor.
And so does Kaido.
The trio is...well you see. I've heard both good and bad so whatever.
Same with people like Arai, and the other extras.
But whoever hired the people to do the voices ofr the girls should be fired. Sakuno...it's so freaking annoying. More annoying than Naruto's 'BEEEELIEVE IT!' phrase.
Then Ryuzaki-sensei's voice sounds like a 20 year old.
I haven't heard, (or can't/don't want to remember) Tomoka's voice, so no comment.

i've yet to hear taka's burning voice yet.. im worried about that.. i wonder if he'll be burning in spanish or something.. some rumors like that have been going around...
but they really did botch up the voices and it killed me to hear the 'twist serve' renamed, 'the kicker!'.. now everyone thinks the prince of tennis is just another lame kiddie show stressed ... me and my friend we're also noticing that most of the regulars sound basically the same.. really, all their voices are in the same tone range..

Its alright compare to japense. I like Sakuna, Momo and Ryoma's voices so far.

I'm really disappointed in it. I thought it was going to actually be good. Again, the manga is better than the show.

I haven't seen it yet, although I really want to but I'll probably go crawl away and hide once I hear their voices. Dubbed voices are always bad.
The "Twist Serve" is renamed the "Kicker"???? Why would they change an already english named move with another english named move?? It makes no sense! These people are so idiotic!! Sorry for being harsh but I've had many bad experiences of ruined animes and I don't want Prince of Tennis to become a kiddies show!! It's too good! It's awesome!!

I think the voices and the mouth movements are a little off, but the voices of Ryoma and Momo still rock! 3nodding heart

I don't really like them. They don't seem to have that much emotion unlike the previous voice actors.
