Konnichiwa Minasan! (hello everyone) this is my Japanaese tid bits page.

This is to help people with the bits of Japanese that often gets thrown into manga, and anime. I want to start of saying that I am NOT A JAPANESE TEACHER. I have only recently tried to teach myself so I'm sorry that I cannot offer lessons to the needy. However. If you have any questions make sure to ask me and I will be sure to give as much help as I can.

If this sticky is popular I may post lessons from my Japanese books on here, so speak up if you would like me to. Here I will be refered to as Tohru(but Ichigo is fine if you forget)

I have many Japanese friends so I will consult them with many of your questions!

Here you can talk in Japanese but make sure to put English/romaji translations on what you say. If you use characters make sure that there is at least a romaji translation. LET THE LEARNING BEGGIN!!!!!!!!!!

Okay! this is the 1st lesson!!!!!! YATTA! (yay) remember not only am I teaching you but I'm also learning myself. Today I will show you 15 hiragana. This is one of 3 "alphabets" that the Japanese use:

Kanji (Chinese Symbols) represent thoughts, things, or ideas.

Katakana is used for writing words taken from foregin languages (like hamburger)

Hiragana is used for particles, and everything else. lol n_n Everyone learns hiragana and katakana before Kanji.
In this guild I wil type everything in hiragana, katakana, and maybe a few kanji, with romaji translations (Japanese sounds using English letters)
LET'S BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say, to remember how to pronounce things, you should just remember their vowels:

a (ah)
i (ee)
u (oo)
e (eh)
o (oh)

As for the "r" it's more like a r/l sound with a tiny bit of "d" in it. sweatdrop
(Just in case some people didn't know this.)

あ a
か ka
さ sa
た ta
な na
は ha
ま ma
や ya
ら ra
わ wa
が ga
ざ za
だ da
ば ba
ぱ pa
Here are the 15 hiragana for today. the hiragana ka and wa are often used as particles (sylables used to specify whether certain words are subjects, objects etc.) except!! when wa is used as a particle, it is actually written as は ha but still sounds like wa. U can tell by using context clues
