I can understand why blood gets removed from a dub. I can also understand why beer and smokes get removed.
But sometines they get a bit over-zealous with the censoring.
What are strange or stupid things you have seen in dubs?

As for the dumbest thing i have seen... In Yu-Gi-Oh! when guns turn into fingers. Its actually funny when they do that.

xd I saw that too! At first I was all like "... so now Bandit Keith had Yusuke's Spirit Gun?" and when I read the manga about that scene I started to crack up. Now every time I see Bandit Keith I just start giggling.

They do that to make it suitable for younger audiences. Unlike some of the dubs that focus for older audiences they keep the blood and sometime limit the amount of blood that is shown. I think that is why. They did change the blood color in the end of Cowboy Bebop to black and white. That is what I think.

yes but 4Kids just brutilizes the anime. in ojamajo doremi, there are a lot of cracks about the main characters name, doremi. but in the english version, her name is dori. and its not just cuz the names are hard to say. doremi's younger sister, pop's name got changed to Rachel. there isnt a child over the age of five that i know of that doesn't know the word pop.
they just change what ever they want because they can.
