A man from Norway, a fisherman, on the very northern end of that country looking out over the Arctic Sea, fired off Roman Candles and other fireworks to celebrate the new year.
A russian submarine came out of the water right in front of him, guns trained, and demanded to know why he was firing on them!

Fireworks scare me. I'm like a small skiddish animal, loud noises cause me to freak out but I still like watching them cause they perty!

NY has these weird laws;
you are not allowed to sell fireworks but you are allowed to purchase them!
And you can't transport them over a state or national border but you can transport them within the state.
So of course we all buy ours at the Indian (Mohawk) reservation which is exempt by treaty, and whose boundary isn't covered by the statute.
