Zaini huffed as she stalked through the land, she was growing tired of Ashki's s**t... Ses's too! Males were obnoxious, and she decided she shouldn't have to deal with them at all. She wished she knew where her mother was, maybe that would make things much easier.
Why did she even bother sticking around with Ses? Well.. she knew she loved him, she wouldn't lie to herself... but everything always felt so miserable. Like they were on the cusp of something terrible.

Her ears perked and her stomach rumbled as she caught scent of some critter. Where was it? Her mind began to reel as she continued forward, paws picking up the pace. Her nostrils flared wide and she took a deep breath. Ah! There was the golden ticket. A large rabbit not far north-west from the spot she was in.
She slunk slowly to the ground and began to stalk. See, she could get food for herself!

Zaini had raced after the rabbit in no time at all, mouth watering from the mere thought of the tastey rabbit meat. It would all be hers too, no having to bring it back to her father! She grinned as she darted away from the little cover she had, the rabbit seemed to almost know she was going to do that; it bolted forward too.

Twenty minutes later or so, after a rather long chase, Zaini was seated by herself, ripping small strips of flesh from the rabbit and gulping them down at a quick but healthy pace. This had been a sucessful hunt, and she was very pleased with herself.
After a few more minutes she'd finished consuming her price, and moved a few feet away from the fur and bones. She slowly licked at her paws and began to clean her whole body. Ashki had said she needed a bath. And her father did too...

Zaini sighed as she finally finished cleaning. She stretched her limbs out and rose again, shaking off the little bit of dust that might have remained on her fur. Well that was truly a boring afternoon! Her tail curled up and arched over her back and she smirked. If Ashki thought he was top dog around these parts he'd be surprised, she was probably much smarter than him.
"He'll get his." She rolled her eyes and laughed, moving through the lands again. She still wasn't ready to go back to Ses so she decided that perhaps it was time to do some exploring. She would head toward the pridelands, she'd never been in those parts yet.
Her eyes flickered toward the horizon and than further up into the sky. She still had a couple of hours of daylight left, but the night was probably better to explore in anyhow!

Zaini frowned, where was she? "This isn't the priderock dammit.." She hissed, staring at a rather small boulder off to her left slightly. She should have been there by now, it was past dark already, what was going on? She huffed, getting into a foul mood. This wasn't fair, why did she always get lost? Her father's damn directional sense, that was why!
"So how do I get out?" She muttered, black eyes flashing around.
"The real question is... how do you get in?" A thin laugh slid through the air, another maned wolf sitting not too far off. He had given Zaini a fright, it had almost been like he hadn't been there at all.
"What a cute little girl lost on her way... which way is back?" More laughter. "You certainly look like you want in.." He rose and started to slink toward her, the whole air about him seemingly wrong.
Zaini's eyes flashed and narrowed and she growled lightly. "Who are you?" Her tail began to fall, no longer did she look confident, just a little nervous.
