it has come to my attention that everywhere online, I hear terms like fangirls or fanboys.
I am Against this.
exclaim Why? Well whenever someone calls me one, I simply tell them:
"I'm a girl and a fan, why yes I am a Fangirl."
I think online members of any type of size or width, should "re-phrase" this meaning.
My term for ignorant, rabid fools who claim ficitional characters as theirs is:
"Rabid Fan Sharks"
Of course that is what I call them anyway. I do respect fans of any nature but if they do start to insult me, then it is lost. I wanted to know what are your point of views on this, your ever lucid thoughts?
Because right now, I'm seriously getting tired of online internet lackys placing a term on me, no this isn't personal. I just really want to know what my lovlies have to say.
Logical Explanations: ~it isn't nice to call someone a Fangirl/FanBoy, for the intention of defining them as "Rabid drownes". 1. Perhaps, they are just A girl and A Fan 2. Perhaps , they are just a boy and a Fan. 3. Gender + Fan = Fan girl/boy.
exclaim Official Term for all fans with out Discriminating them: -Fanatics[Noun] -Fan[Noun] -Fandom [Adj] ~Show your Kindness in using those polite terms. =D
=/ See how that is covered? Lend me your views! Who else agrees?

Labels = BAD Honestly... Yes, I agree with the fact I am a fan girl, but I do NOT obsess over a fictional character. Just because I say I like a show/character, it doesn't mean I'm like, "OMG, I know everything about [show/person]!" like some people. Don't judge a book by its cover.

I love my foxies!!! *huggles*
I don't really mind being called a 'fangirl' in fact I will admit I am a fangirl because I am a fan and I am a girl therefore I am a fangirl, but I do not like being called rabid, because I am not, thow I do tend to play around with frinds and act like it.

if you are one thats all good and everything, but it isn't polite to be called that term. Because one:
1. its degrading, and sometimes its used to "ridicule" an other.
2. if you are one, its still overthrows everything and someones dignity.
To me, no matter if you are or are not one, its still not logically correct no matter how well they use it or how it is used.
Person A: I'm a fangirl, call me a fangirl because its true I am I'm overly obessed.
Seri: Okay thats all and good, but some girls don't want to be ranked as a "Fangirl" how about we just say that you are a "overly sexed bishie fan."
=) Because that makes more sense than anything else.

Well here's my equation:
Fan + Horny + Girl = Horny fan of the hot a** bishies!!! AKA me ^.^
Rabit + Fan + Girl = O.o Scarry a** people who have even less of a life then myself which is next to impossible.

I agree with you completely Seri. I am not sure I can say much more than that. I am totally not a fan of labeling anybody!

Not opinions just views please. =)
Opioions get out of hand.
Views: Process of Seeing, or Examining
Opinion: A formal statement of judgement.
Views are better, because I ask for the second defineing and I get load of crap and people start bashing eachother, which is really unnecesary D=
~Hehe we have Males, But I guess they are too shy to come out<3 Just kidding, we have some posting here, I know who posts here and who doesn't.
:Okay back to the Convo, Yeah I basically see it as Girl+Fan=Fangirl =o But I noticed many people like to use that in disdain.
I don't mind using it once in a while, but using it like a overplaned tune is really uncalled for. =o

MewBlue Fan + girl= fangirl fan + rabid + girl/boy = get away from me before i punch you....seriously
xD I'll say!
Just yesterday my sister was watching Naruto, and she just loves, loves Orichimaru.(sp)
Yesterday, I kept taunting her keep calling her "Hahaha youare a fangirl, Fangirl!! Boo!!"
I was playing with her, and suddenly she snapped:
Sister: "I'm not a fangirl idiot!" D=<
So my guess was that no one likes that term or to be called that, because its "Labeling" or "Degrading"
So instead I'm like this with her:
"Wooo, [insert name here] you love him!! Your overly obessed woo!"
~Hehe I always tease her, but I still love her <3 Sisters what ya going to do. xd

Honestly, if the term "fangirl" still means a girl who pairs herself with a "bishie", regardless of how "rabid" or "possesive" she is, I still find it a tad annoying. It's just an automatic annoyance, I guess. I tend to avoid anything that includes Hot Anime DudexOC. Especially if that OC is "related" to another character, usually one of the less hot ones. (Sorry, Yuuchan and Kuwabara!! ^^;; ) OCs, mainly in fanfiction, annoy me way more than the typical, preteen female who speaks with txt tlk as well as types her declaration of so-and-so every chance she gets. Why? A couple of reasons.
1. I can ignore her post and speak to someone more intelligent. xD (How I avoid this with fanfiction: don't read it when I see "Oc". xDD)
2. I know some day she'll grow a brain and get over it. When I was twelve I thought Hiei was my boyfriend. When people paired him with Kurama I got mad because I didn't want them calling "my" Hiei gay. Now it just angers me 'cause pairing Hiei with Yusuke is better. cool Of course I don't still think he's "mine". That'd be ridiculous. I'm alive and he's on paper, and while I love him a lot, I'll let Yuuchan take care of him for me.
*Sigh* Sometimes you just need to know when to let go.
As for this issue of being called a fangirl, I whole heartedly agree that "fangirl" is not an insult on it's own. I'm a YuxHi fangirl. There are a lot of Kurama, Hiei, and KurxHi fangirls here, I assume. It's not an insult. If someone calls me a fangirl for being one of the above, then they're probably right. I think nothing of it when people call me that. It's just some other shmo on the otherside of a computer. Why let them label you? Just ignore them, I say. And when one talks about a little too obsessed fan, if labeling bothers you, just use a different term until it catches on around the people you talk to the most. If everyone did that, incorrect labeling would die eventually, even if it did take a little time. Guild members, assemble! surprised
