My sister was given this game today. She is playing it as I speak.
I personally am not satisfied with the battle system. It seems more like a hack and slash than a RPG. But the voice overs are infinately better than those in FFX/FFX-2. I find it to be a good looking game with exellent CGI graphics. 3nodding

The battle system looks like it would be dissapointing, but it's not really... It's is DEFINATELY harder to deal with... And I dispise the fleeing system, but... it's alright once you get used to it...
The voice overs? Balthier... *drool* I really don't like Vaan's though. He doesn't sound heroic at all. He doesn't even sound like a generic teen in a teen movie. I think they could have done better. I love Fran's voice though.
I like it, but I'll be severely disappointed if there is no world map, and no way to fly the ship on your own. That's one of my favorite passtimes in VII. Cruising around in the Highwind... And I like the worldmap stuff... But the game seems good. The plot is interesting, and I'm relaly looking forward to how it will unfold...
P.S. The music reminds me of Star Wars...

Michiyo_Saruwatari P.S. The music reminds me of Star Wars... Yes, I believe that all the music in this game is just a bunch of remixes from previous games. I have already heard the end of battle music from FFIV. I thought that was kind of cool.

FFXII was a blast. The story dragged a little here and there, but it was decent. Balthier and Basch are dead sexy. And once you get a feel for the battle system and set your gambits up right, battles are pretty easy. I just wish the lisence board was customized for each character, instead of eveyone learning the same thing. But oh well, can't have everything.
