Iyalin trudged between the two sloping trees and shook his paws to get off the little bit of forest water that had accumulated on them. Looking around cautiously, he lifted his left paw. With one quick motion, the hallow tree was exposed thus allowing him to dodge inside. He squished inside the tree. It was big enough for just him, and was simple. No carvings, no mats, just the beautiful woodgrain of his own private shelter. He lay his head back and stared at the rings from the wood in the ceiling above him. In seconds he had drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Muhali was happy. But then again, such a thing was never rare; Muhali was always happy. Or she tried to be, at least, for when one lived within a self created irrational world, one lived in ignorance.

They say ignore was bliss.

Thus Muhali lived in bliss; there was no evil in her world. No blacks or whites... instead there were multiple shades of grey, all intrincate, all beautiful in her eyes. Nothing was here nor there without a purpose, and she accepted this; when it rained, she was happy the plants would grow, and when it was sunny, she was happy the children could play. When it snowed, she was happy the cold was here, and when it was warm, she was happy the sun was smiling.

Today, Muhali was happy simply because she'd learnt a new rhyme; a rhyme she'd heard a caterpillar sing that same morning, and as she flew through the air, the female sound herself humming the little tune. It was soon that she felt the need to land and sing, because truthfully, she couldn't be expected to sing AND fly at the same time; she needed to concentrate on doing one or the other. She'd clearly chosen singing, for she swiftly landed upon the stray branch of a random tree, her bangs hiding her eyes as she sang cheerfully, "And the sun light bright over the heavens~~ Where that single star shines, even in the light, and one day I'll be a butterfly~~ beautiful enough to fly and join that star in dance~~" her words probably made no sense, but that didn't seem to hinder her.

There was no way for her to know she'd chosen to sit on the branch of a currently occupied tree; but then again, it was possible she wouldn't have cared.

"Mhuuuuh."

Iyalin opened his eyes to hear the tree echoing of song. Not particularly good song. Actually, he'd go so far to say it was nauseating. Rolling over onto his underside, Iyalin lifted his paws up over his head and squeezed his arms together over his ears. The sound wasn't leaving. It just became more echoed inside his head. Why... why can't I just sleep in peace.

Pressing up on to his paws, Iyalin arched his back up and spiraled towards the door. He stuck his head slowly out the hidden door to see a Celustine much like himself. Odd, he hadn't seen any others on the island that looked like him. Yet she was different. Very different.

"Do you mind? Sorry, I'm just... just trying to sleep is all."

Iyalin huffed his head back into the enclosure quickly, leaving the door unclosed behind him.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Ah, but Muhali DID mind. Or rather, she didn't mind intruding, for she no sooner had the male appeared, she paused her song, blinked and tiled her head; he kinna like her, wasn't he? Except for the fact he wasn't happy. Never did it occur to her that perhaps this was because he was attempting to sleep and she... wasn't really allowing him the peace and quiet this required.

Instead, she swooped down and quite shamelessly poked her head into the poor male's adobe; never awaiting an invitation, she squirmed inside. It wasn't a hard task to do, for amusingly enough, the white male stood much taller than she did, making her look like a teen, or an old cub beside his form, even despite the fact she was indeed an adult.

It was almost as if her growth had been stunned to match her mind; a mind that thought with childish logic, and yet was at the same time capable of much, much more. Few were, or had been privileged enough to presence one of Muhali's rare moments of 'lucidity', or whatever one might want to call it, for the femme lived by what she believed in. She believed irrational thoughts were those that moved the world around; those that made things happen. Love, for example, was irrational.

Trotting in, she circled the male, taking no shame in space or proximity before she floped right over him, reaching up to nibble on his right ear, adorned with a halo much like her own, "Who are you?" a pause as she nibbled, not letting go, and seemingly no embarrassed by the act; she'd had to climb over him to reach the ear, her body smaller than his, "I'm .. Muhali."

The absence of noise was welcome. But Iyalin found himself unable to respond as she entered his house. He wasn't used to it, but live and let live was more his angle. If she wanted to come in uninvited, she was free to do so. But why she wanted to come inside was what left him speechless. He suppressed a smirk, seeing as he found the situation awkwardly comical.

Despite his previous thoughts, she was a tiny little thing. Perhaps the height of the tree branches had made her appear bigger.

Now Iyalin lay there on his stomach, the other Celustine upon him. This made him surprisingly uncomfortable. He was safe, perhaps to his own loss. Every dawn he'd awake, gather some food, eat and then explore before returning home. Every day, whether rain or shine. He didn't do weird things. No frolicking in the mud. No summertime love. No collapsing over strangers you haven't met before. That was strange, and irrational.

"Uhm," he said, awkwardly, trying to remember his name. "Iyalin."

"How are you?" he said, unaware of what one does in these circumstances.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."I'm fine~~!" just dandy, she thought carelessly as her teeth and maw worked their way against his ear; there she stopped nibbling, she groomed, and though the process might've been strange to the male, at the same time it couldn't have been bad. It was almost like a massage.

Tell truth, it never occurred to Muhali that her antics were in any way strange; she seemed content in what she was doing and all too comfortable for her own good. As if she'd done this before; in fact, the male would've had no way of really knowing he was the first guardian she'd seen aside herself, alas... she'd made her time playing with the Emerged a lot and when they were ready to sleep, she'd groomed them. She'd gained experience at this.

Life was Bliss if you asked Muhali and she had no problem with sharing this point of view with anyone, whether they wanted her to or not.

It was those strange actions in life... those irrational moments that made things all the more beautiful to experience; Muhali had long ago embraced the idea. After all, without these actions life would merely be a monotone existence of routine after routine; she was unaware that this male's life was like that, for her own was always filled with adventure. Sometime the adventure consisted in reached the water falls late at night while it was scary, to get a drink, evading all fear and monsters she might encounter on her way! At times, the adventure was flying as high as she could before swooping down and stopping just millimeters off the ground.

It never really mattered what the adventure was; only thing for certain was that there was never a day where the petite guardian did the same thing as the day before. She made sure to occupy her time and live fully. She made sure she was happy. Truly happy, "What about you?" her words were muffled by her grooming as she shifted her position, embracing his neck with her petite paws as she moved to the top of his head, "You seem cranky, and not all too happy," this was obviously a concept hard for her to understand. Specially when she wasn't looking him in the eye; this was something she had to remedy, and thus she squirmed up till she placed her head upside down, pressed against his own. Now she could see his eyes! .... upside down, but still; she could see them!

Y Hallo Tharrrrr~~!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Annnd there she was. The bright blue eyes of Muhali. Iyalin let a slight trickle of a smile escape his face. She was a weird one alright. He got the strange sense that she had been trying to make him feel better, though he was feeling perfectly fine already. He just didn't choose to express this by screaming at the top of his lungs or by running headfirst into trees as he expected this one did.

He had long since discovered that the meaning to life was not to be happy, but to be balanced. Balance was simple, not complex. You are happy, or you are sad. Or better yet, you are in-between. There was no reason for extreme happiness or sadness. No need for danger and safety. You just live life, and that is all there is to it.

Iyalin tended to think that everyone was just too complicated. They went off thinking about the meaning of life, what purpose they would serve during their lifetime, and whether fate had brought them here or not. Sometimes, they just needed to settle down and relax, and that was had been his outlook for as long as he could remember.

"I'm great." he said with the slightest hint of a smile in his voice. He then started to roll around from side to side violently, and giggling. Was this normal for him? No. Was it funny? He seemed to think so. "Now how are you feeling?" said Iyalin, suppressing a giggle.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."No you're nooooot~~" thought the words must've been slightly distorted by the fact the male was wiggling from side to side while Muhali clung firmly to his head, and neck with her petite frame; her words were rattled, giving the scene a hint more of humour.

Soon enough she was forced to look straight ahead or risk falling off his head, "You need to be hapy to be great~~ and you're nooooot~~!" it was strange, for the small female seemed to believe her words firmly. She wasn't complex in her way of thinking, nor did those questions of life's purpose seem to bother her; no, her world was composed of greys. Lots and lots of greys, some darker, some lighter, but all interesting and in most cases, all beautiful.

They all had a purpose. She knew that. And she accepted it, but she never seeked to know what purpose this was; whatever purpose one was meant to have was a mystery. It was meant to be a mystery! After all, life wouldn't be interesting if everyone would know what lay ahead. Choice had to be made without knowledge and without expectations. That was why she chose to be happy; she choce to be happy because she wanted too, not because she expected anything else from others.

Though getting a ride like today was always a nice thing to get in return, and she showed this by gigginlg, her voice twice as high pitched as the male's, her laughter coming out in a rythm that seemed to signal that were she to actualy sit down and sing for real, her voice would've been soothing, musical, "You're kinna weird," she slid off his head, her wings spreading to make her land gracefulle, the movement simple and yet at the same time, not one a child would've been able to perform; it small things, small hints like this, or the depths of her eyes that seemed to point at the fact the blue guardian was in fact quite old, having lived a long life already.

She'd just chosen to remain happy, playful and young. Because this was what she wanted; what she wanted to share with others.

Still giggling, she moved to circle him, taking a moment to sit herself before and press her nose to him; hers was smaller, but both were warm. They weren't all that diferent, as far as Muhali was concerned.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.So apparently she didn't know that she was the weird one, at least in his eyes.

Iyalin was somewhat happy to hear that she though he was weird. It made it much less complicated knowing that she wasn't just putting on an act for some reason or another. This caused drama. Drama was confusing and irrational. Drama was weird.

So there sat the blue flurry of excitement in front of him, her nose pressed squarely upon his. He was becoming used to her antics. He definitely knew her type; special. Veeery special.

He contemplated using antics of his own. Perhaps some little surprise tackle or a fast-paced runaway would turn the tables leaving her stumped. But he still longed for his regular routine to be completed by his afternoon nap. He figured that now was the time to decide whether she should stay or go. Perhaps he could reach a happy medium. It was all about balance, after all. That being said, this was all becoming too complicated.

It was as this time that Iyalin has decided his small little abode was simply too much for their deranged conversations and perhaps stranger games. He was ready to move outside but he found himself caught staring into the bright cyan eyes of the Guardian opposite him. No, not like that.

He could never say no to a staring competition. And with a slight intensity in the eyebrows, Iyalin acknowledged that he was playing.
